All Pets Veterinary Clinic

I had been a client for three years, and I never saw the same assistants. They fumbled the records and there was always some glitch with reminders, billing, or something. Today I tried another clinic and the compared experience was like a dream. I should have switched sooner.

I was worried about finding a good small animal clinic for my two bunnies. I know it's hard to find a veterinary that deals with small animal care, much less surgeries, but I was pleased that All Pets were prepared for unordinary animals such as rabbits. I brought my one to get neutered not too long ago and they took me through the procedure, assured me the vet would be in the room at all times, and that I could call at any time to check up on the process. I know the complications of performing a neutering surgery on rabbits as they are very hard when it comes to anesthesia (with their high metabolism) and the fact that they are so tiny, they are much harder to work with. He was perfectly fine after the surgery (albeit a little out of it from the pain medication, but that's to be expected) and is now running around just fine with the other bunny. The vet even called me the next day to check up on him to see how he was recovering! It was a very pleasant surprise! I would recommend this clinic to anyone.

I just took my 14 month old cat in for a spay and I was very happy with All Pets. The receptionist helped me to decide which tests were necessary and which were probably okay to pass on (since she is young), and they were very good with my calls to check up on her. My cat was at the vet for 24 hours and I stopped in once and called three times to check up on her and ask questions, and they were super patient with me and good about answering my questions. She's still groggy from the surgery, but my kitty doesn't seem to be emotionally affected by this visit, which is more than I can say for my last cat at my last vet.

We received a quick appointment when our cat needed prompt attention. The care was exactly what we'd hoped for. The doctor did a thorough examination, advised us on all the actions he wanted to take, and cleared optional care before proceeding.
In all, we were extremely pleased not only with the care given to our pet, but to the quality of information given which allowed us to decide on the level of diagnostics and treatment performed, and the subsequent information to help us manage the condition.
Highly recommended.

My cat recently needed to be seen right away for what turned out to be a severe asthma attack. All Pets saw him right away--he was seen within a minute of getting to the office on what appeared to be a busy Friday afternoon. The doctors were very thorough--although they recommended some pricey tests at a hospital in Cedar Rapids, they understood our concerns about costs and provided us with alternate plans. The vet we see, Dr. G, always spends lots of time with us and explains exactly what is going on, even when our cat is healthy. The staff is always very loving towards our cat and willing to answer questions. I am very happy with every aspect of this office and recommend them to everyone I know with pets.

All of the staff and doctors at All Pets Vet Clinic in Iowa City are excellent!!! Nobody pushed any unnecessary products on me. If you consider heartworm or flea medication unnecessary, u need to look up some stats. Heartworm is REAL and it is spread by mosquitoes, which are all over Iowa! Fleas and ticks are everywhere as well. Any meds they see necessary, ARE. Also, they are All Pets, NOT Animal Clinic, so get that straight. All Pets has never charged me $900 for a dental. Their prices are actually very reasonable. Thank you ALL PETS for the great care u provide.

I have been taking my cats to All Pets for well over 20 years. I have never experienced anything but caring and excellent treatment from vets and staff. These people send me sympathy cards (signed by all vets and staff) each time one of my pets passes away. They are ethical and thorough, and don't push products on me. I never hesitate to refer people to All Pets Veterinary Clinic.

Although the quality of care that my animals received while being treated at this vets clinic was always excellent, I never felt like it was the right place to bring my animals. First, the vet and support staff is constantly pushing unnecessary products onto me, claiming that they are necessary for the health of my animals. I always felt like I was dealing with a salesperson instead of a vet when at this location. Second, their prices are slightly higher than other vets in the area. For these two reasons together I transferred the care of my animals to another location and I am now much more satisfied.
