I buy alot of automotive parts between carquest, autozone and O'reillys. My problem was last year when I tried warrantying out a $35 dollar wheel bearing. I took the old wheel bearing into oreillys, (which was of poor quality) because it was loose and falling apart
after only 11 months. So I'm already upset because I have to put the wheel bearing on twice. I take the wheel bearing in and immediately I am told that this wheel bearing "is not the wheel bearing they sold me" I asked how they figured and they said "because it has an excessive amount of rust on the wheel bearing". So I speak to the manager and he actually agrees with the guy at the counter!!! I asked him if it could possibly rust in Iowa after a year when it's bolted behind the tire? He says yes, but not that much! I take the other tire off and take a picture of that wheel bearing. I then put the loose bearing back on to take pictures of the difference between the bearing and the hub. I go back and they tell me the difference isn't big enough. I pull $4500 cash out and ask if they really believe I would lie about a $35 wheel bearing, they said. When I asked if they where calling me a lair, they said if that's how I want to take it then that's what it must mean. I had to call corporate to get the part warrantied. After E. Locust denied to warranty the part I went to W. Kimberly O'Reillys and told them the story and tried to get the part warrantied. The W. Kimberly store told me they wouldn't mind warrantying the part, but since they have the same manger as E. Locust they couldn't go over their managers head.
The only thing that saved me from suing the local store was that corporate agreed to warranty the part. They didn't offer me anything for the inconvenience, and I didn't really expect it but I have refused to go back to o'reillys since this incident.

I like to shop here because being female I don't know much about cars. The staff here never tries to sell something I don't need. They answer all my questions, and get me just what I need to get the car fixed. Cheaper on some things, more expensive on some, but very competitive all around. You can't get better service.
