Flying Wienie

This is the best place in town for hot dogs. The gyro sandwiches are also very good. The food is simple, but the ingredients are top quality and the servings are generous. For the price of generic fast food (frozen patties with flat relish from tiny plastic bags) you can have fresh dogs with fresh relish.

If you always wondered about the little yellow shop with the airplane on top when you drive by on I-380, drop by and have a bite.

Great Pace to eat. Has the best Italian Beef sandwich around
plus the chili fries are out of this world

Be prepared for a lot of food when you order the beef sandwich. There is enough sliced beef on that little hoagie bun to make another sandwich for later! If you go away hungry then it is your own fault! Very tasty and I love to take the kids here. There is limited seating inside.

My family and I went to the Flying Wienie for the first time this weekend, and loved it. My husband is from Chicago, and always searches for that perfect Italian beef sandwich, and found a good one here. The kids loved the hot dogs, the aviation theme, and the old table-like video games. The only thing we really didn't like was the french fries - thick and limp.

The flying wienie has a very good selection of style hotdogs. They have chicago style and tehy are very cheap.Among other things they have Ice cream and fish sandwhiches.

They have the best hotdogs and their fries are great. I especially love their pizza pockets, they stay hot for hours.
They have a neat aviation theme that my kids love and their outdoor seating area is nice.
We go here every chance that we get.

This place is great! Oh how I missed Chicago dogs...until Flying Weinie came to town. The prices are very cheap and the food is excellent. You can sit inside and they also have an outside area you can sit under umbrella tables. I highly suggest this place!

Cute aviation motif with a friendly staff. For a quick lunch or just for the hunger pains, a great place to go for a bite to eat. Chicago style food in IOWA!

My son loves the airplane on top of the building. This place offers some of the best ribs, hotdogs, and sausages around. The atmosphere is laid back and we always enjoy ourselves when dining here. The prices are inexspensive and the food is worth every penny.
