This place has been neglected. It sad, filthy & while the prices have gone up like most other places the food quality is mediocre to say the least.

Amazing! Their Rotisserie Chicken is the best chicken I have ever tasted. Their pizzas are good too. I would also suggest their salmon and pork chops. The service was excellent! I would highly reccomend eating at Chips!

We love Chips' spinach artichoke dip appetizer. We always order it with our meal. Nice kids menu, and they also have dessert. Usually my husband gets a pasta dish and I stick with a burger or some sandwich.

I like the location of this restaurant. It is pretty and out by a small lake with swans, but the food can be a bit pricey and the wood-smoke is a bit much.

The food is great. I highly recommend the chicken. I would also say this seemed to be a good place for families with small children. The decor is a little 80's and service was decent. I didn't want to sit around after the meal...

Having moved from Ankeny to Minnesota almost four years ago, I have yet to find a restaurant where everyone tries to make you feel at home like Chips does.

The Oak-fired oven combined with the expertise of the chefs produces some of the best pizza you will get in the area. The Reuben pizza is second to none, but they all are delicious.

The portions are generous and prices are reasonable.

The lounge is small with a local type atmosphere. Mike the bartender, and local fishing expert, is the best. They do close early, but get to know them and you will find that they tend to forget about the time.

Brian the Allied guy.

Pros: Fun, Food, Friends

Cons: None, None, None

I have frequented Chips since it sat alone. Traveling alone I stopped in the bar area. It became evident the bar area doubles as the employees' lounge. From manager to waitress the bar is abuzz. Some employees are point blank rude, others cordial, Mike the bartender was the high point. Newpapers and cigarettes abound. Waitresses pop in and out sometimes in groups of three. The conversation is dictated by the employees that screw their faces up at your attempt to comment. Uncomfortable at best. The food as always was good to very good. I suggest you retire to the main dining room if you would like to dine or imbibe. This all seemed like odd behavior with Ankeny growing, a new Outback a stone throws away, and many places to choose from. I shall choose elsewhere in the future and leave the employees' lounge to the Chips employees.
