I worked at this place for a year during college, and after that my niece and nephew attended preschool for 3 years each.

When I worked here, I felt that the preschool programs were adequate. However, I felt that there were too many infants for each infant to receive quality care. I would personally, NEVER leave an infant in a place that is caring for that many at a time, regardless of their infant-to-adult ratio! I felt that the only care that was provided to the infants was to feed, change, and put back in the crib to start on the next infant.

I was involved a lot while my niece and nephew attended preschool. I felt that my niece received a good preschool experience. However, they were unable to deal with my nephew. I feel that the staff people were not experienced or trained well enough to deal with a "challenging" child.

Use your best judgement and visit several times before considering enrolling your child at this daycare.

Community United Child Care Centers, Inc. serves all children between the ages of 6 weeks and 10 years old. We are a multi-corporate, non-profit child development center that began in 1993 by AEA 267, Exceptional Persons Inc., Veridian Credit Union, Cedar Falls Schools and Waterloo Schools and Covenant Medical Center (non-active). Parent representatives from each building have been added to our Board of Directors. Our mission statement, "Partnering with families to nurture and educate tomorrow's leaders", explains how we view all our community children, as leaders in training.

Community United Child Care Centers continues to believe that leading community representatives in a discussion about children, to enrich and be enriched, to learn from and to teach each other, allows us to maintain the quality your children deserve. Your children have a right to love, laugh and cry in a setting where differences are celebrated as avenues for growth.

We are pleased to be part of Iowa Department of Labor Apprenticeship Pilot Program. Community United Child Care Centers is a member of Waterloo/Cedar Falls Chamber of Commerce, Cedar Valley's Promise Early Childhood Committee (including multiple sub-committees), National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), Iowa Association for the Education of Young Children (Iowa AEYC), Iowa After school Association (formerly Iowa School Age Care Association) and the National After School Association (formerly the National School-Age Care Association).
