We purchased a used vehicle at Shottenkirk but it almost didn't happen. We wanted the car, but there were a number of things turning us off about the place. -Two hour wait to sign papers. -Jason, the Finance Manager, was the WORST! We caught Jason being intentionally deceitful. Near 8pm, family was exhausted but we politely sat as he attempted to set up the sell of some warranty. I anticipated the close, but it never happened. There was no "This is the product. Would you like it?" He simply presented us a stack of papers and proceeded to tell us where to sign. Three documents in, was the warranty. He says something like "this is the power-train warranty." I skim the document and sign. He gives us cards for a towing service that came with the warranty. Then it clicks. I don't remember being told the vehicle came with a warranty?! He is about to slide me the contract for the Disability Insurance he mentioned earlier and I say "Wait." "Does the vehicle COME with this warranty or is it extra?" I ask. He says it's included with the price. I attempt to clarify, "does this come with the van, or is it extra?" He says "It's included with the $363 payment." He PURPOSEFULLY avoids answering the question! A WILLFUL ATTEMPT AT DECEIT! I am incredulous, my wife is looking at me as if we should leave, and my kids are really ready to leave. But I give the purchase another shot. I told him I want the vehicle and nothing else. He tries to sell me on the services again. I am put my hands on the desk and tell him I don't care about how the services lessen the impact of unforeseen events, I just want the car. Watch out for this guy or maybe all the Finance Managers there. I hate to think of how many people he suckered before me. The cost of the package he was pushing was more than additional $1,000 over the vehicle price. Their website espouses values like honesty and integrity. I experience something very different

I purchased a 2003 Grand AM from them in 2005. They had it delivered from Pennsylvania. I had called them the night before the delivery and asked to back out of it because I had a gut feeling this wasn't going to work. They informed me that since the new vehicle was in transit, I could not negate the deal. (I was young and didn't release that was a load of bs.) Upon the delivery, they knocked an additional $500 off the sticker price because they had told me the car was black and instead was silver. So far so good right? WRONG. After two days of driving I noticed an ungodly shutter from the rear end. Upon further inspection, I noticed that there were NO rear brake pads. They failed to do a PDI on the vehicle before turning it over to me. I took it back and they had it two weeks while they fixed anything and everything on the vehicle. During that two weeks I received a collection call from my finance company. Turns out the idiots had taken my address down wrong during the financing stage and had sent my payment books and all paperwork to the wrong address. When I called them about this they said it must have been my mistake. Long story short, I had to trade that car in 2 months after I got it because it was simply one problem after another. And the kicker......they had told me it was a one owner vehicle with 6000 miles. I pulled my own CarFax and discovered that it was a prior salvage title and that the CarFax they showed me was for a different vehicle on their lot. RUN FAR AND RUN FAST

I told them when I got there I was writing a check for the vehicle they said no problem after all the paperwork I gave them the check, then they told me I would have to come back and in a few days, after all the inconvenience they wouldn't even change a blown fuse and gave it to me with no gas it ran out as I pulled into the gas station.
