I know that some people feel they have to go to a place because it will help you with the financing.....don't come here. They are a rip off. You get over priced cars, even if you make on time payments, it wil not reflect on your credit. The staff is very unprofessional especially if you ever have to ask them for a day late to make payments. I have dealt with Wells Fargo and have received better treatment. I am not trying to plug them, just using my experience as an example. The cars brake down on you fast and watch out for the warranty. I know a friend that bought from them and lived an hour away... you can only take it to the JD byrider that you have purchased the car from. When her car broke down, she was not allowed to have Davenport Iowa facility repair it. ONce again, if you can at least come up with some type of down payment, go to a real car dealership. Also...you might want to check them out on BBB ( Better Business Bureau). I have reported them to the State and to the BBB. If you currently own a vehicle from them and this is happening to you, turn them in.

it almost looks like the above reviews were written as adverts for the company , but here is my review regardless.
the comapny in question will degrade you and humilate you to make you feel lucky to be able to buy from them , the cars i purchased literaly had pieces falling off of it the day i got it home.
they will charge the legal limit on car price and the legal limit on intrest rates, they force you into one car by sayign you only qualify for that car regardless if they other cars on the lot in the same price range. even if you are a good customer and never miss a payment any dealing you have with their in house financing people will be laced with contempt for you and they will constantly remind you that you deserve to be treated this way because of your credit score, they have no intrest in providing good service , and sneak things like a no grace period for late paymnets so they can repo the car and start over with another consumer, the auto i got had broken glass all throughout the heating system , yet they claim it was never in an accident. when the driver side mirror fell of from a hand car wash the day i got it home they said it was my fault and that my garden hose put too much pressure on the mirror. then implied i did not knwo how to wash an automobile. again they will try and insult and demean you AFTER you buy from them in hopes you will alk away from the auto and loan , they sue you and resell the car if they goad you into this. making not only the profit from you free and clear , but giving them the auto to use against the next consumer.

I bough a 2003 Dodge Neon in April 2010 from JD Byrider in Columbus, Ohio. I, of course, used their in-house financing, CNAC. Now, people are going off left and right from what I can tell about these two companies. You have to understand, if your credit is bad enough to have to use them, you're going to expect to pay more for a vehicle. If I were to walk off the street to a regular dealership and ask for financing (even with 2 jobs, totaling over $3,000/month) they would laugh in my face, because of my credit issues. Before I got 2 jobs, I was bartending only a few days a week, and my car was reposessed twice (terrible on my credit), and now no one will even consider giving me an auto loan...i'm too high of a liability.

I hit a deer 2 weeks ago, thank God my car was not totalled! Unfortunately, once you sign a contract with them, you're bound forever (or until you pay it off). I would highly suggest taking your "loan/lease" or "GAP" insurance though your insurance company!! But all in all, if you need a car, and can afford payments such as $160/2 weeks for 100 payments, then I would suggest it...it sometimes leaves me broke, but hey, at least i have a car to get to work!

I would not recommend going to JD Byrider if you are in the market for a new or used car. Their cars are highly overpriced and the business seems to cater to people who have bad credit and are unable to obtain a more reasonably priced car at another dealership. However, if you do have bad credit, this might be a dealership to look into.

With their on-site financing and wide variety of vehicles available, JD Byrider is a great place to buy a used car. While their selection is sometimes slim, they are able to get vehicles from other locations. The ones they do have are in great condition and seem to be in good mechanical condition as well. Their prices are marked up a little, but what delear doesn't do that? I'm had minimal contact with their sales staff, but from what I can tell, they all seem knowledgeable and helpful. I'd recommend checking them out if you are in the market for a used car.
