Established 1983, The Saddle is the longest running Gay Bar in Des Moines. Located in the heart of East Village in downtown Des Moines, the Saddle has friendly Cheers-like atmosphere during the day and steps it up at night when the dance bar opens. There's always something going on at the Blazing Saddle including daily specials and even live piano on Wednesday night. We also offer the occasional drag show along with other weekly and monthly events.
Gay or Straight this is a cool bar. Its in a very safe part of town, East Village" with ample parking. The bar is nice, well lit and fun. I am a straight female, but have been there several times with gay friends. The jukebox is really good as well.
