I've been coming to Marion Avenue for more than 6 months. Every week more newcomers are joining. Something great is going on here. You can truly feel the spirit of God.

Marion Avenue Baptist Church is one of the greatest churches I have ever been too. The pastor there preaches the truth strongly, but loves his members deeply. If you want a place that will not adapt to YOUR desires, but will truly show you what God says, then you should visit this wonderful Spirit-filled place.

I was searching for the truth. I was looking for a place that would share the truth. I needed to find God in my life. A few weeks ago I visited this church and while there God really spoke to me. Becuase of the humbleness and spirituallity of Pastor Larry I felt commpelled to draw closer to God and accept Jesus into my life. The people at this church are so friendly and caring! I've searched alot of churches but none were doing as much for God as the Marion Avenue Baptist Church. Thank God for people and churches like this who are uncondittionally, lovingly, pointing people to God.

If you are looking for a church where you will be accepted and loved then look no further. Pastor Larry Brown has been Pastor here for 35 years and there are literally hundreds of thousands of people that will attest to the fact that this truly is a genuine servant of God. This church is growing more now than it ever has in it's 35 years of existence. If you really want to know, give them a visit and I promise, you'll be convinced. As the town's people put it, "We are so thankful for this church because it truly cares for this community".

What a great church! I have traveled literally from coast to coast. This church is one of the best! I was a member there for 24 years and I can say that Pastor Brown is REAL. What you see is what you get! That means a lot when you see so many pastors who either don't live what they preach or change to adapt to every dissatisfied member. Believe me, every church is filled with complainers! I have a lot of respect for a man who will leave his home and take his wife and go to a place where he knew no one and will stay for 30 plus years! There aren't many people who would give their life to God to that extent. Someday when I stand before God I KNOW that Larry Brown will be one of the first ones in line!

Wow, what an experience. There is definitely a zeal for the things of God there. Evangelism and working with people are the center focus of the church! Best church in Iowa!
