Summerset Winery

Summerset Winery is located just south of Des Moines (approx 5 miles) and offers a great variety of wines. You can stop in any day of the week (except Mondays) to sample the wines for free. We like to stop in and purchase a chilled bottle of wine to drink on their outdoor decks surrounded by grapevines...after living in Italy, this was by far the closest thing we've found to an Italian style winery, right in the heart of Iowa! We also enjoy their Sunday afternoon tunes, which is every Sunday all year long from 3-6pm. Summerset by far is a great place to visit anytime and with anyone!!!
