If you want a new car go to a dealer that sells new. The process here is easy. Put 300-500 down and get a good car. Drive it. Have it checked out. They will print you out a CARFAX if you ask. You do not have to buy the damn car if you do not like it. Know what you are buying. Some cars are better than others. Hear a clunk in the front end? Maybe it was totaled or has a salvage title.Ask them. They were honest with me. If the car needs repair after you buy it it is not their fault.AS IS means just that. Finance rate is not that bad if you have money to put down.6000 dollar car costs 6800 if you pay on time. Quit bitching and buy wisely.

Unsatisfactory doesn't even cover it. My daughter got a car from them and it broke down a week after getting it there was 60 pounds of pressure in the tires they where ready to blow the mechanic said. The transmission had to be completely fixed they stole her hoody in the back seat and her floor mates when they took it back after we put over a thousand dollars into fixing it. They still had the nerve to want paid for it without deducting all that money. I know we are not the only ones that they have screwed over there are 120+ so far that have been taken by them. So if you want a car that will fall apart shortly after having it. Or endanger your life, pay out to fix and have them repo. They are crooks that pray on people that have hit hard times. That is it they are scum. If you want a good car or even to be treated honestly then stay away from them. They are crooks and always will be. I would love to hear from anyone that has had dealings with them. I am trying to get their dealer ship license revoked for selling junk to people. They say take it to a mechanic of your choice, yah right can't see a transmission or an engine block from just looking at it. Crooks plain and simple. Was reading reviews here I am happy that this one has had a good time there. It is a rare thing. They have cars that last a year and half? Where? I have yet to find one person that made it past a month without something going wrong with it.

If you've ever been to a Rent-to-own place, you will understand the process. You're in a hurry, don't have a lot down, have bad credit, or just can't go to a regular lot. You want or need it now, pop down a minimal amount (example- I put down on a 95 Chrysler Town and Country, $300- 95 GMC Sonoma, $500- 96 Cavilier, $300)and drive it away. And, the best thing- you don't have to go to the DOT to pay the tax and plate fee, they include it and your plates are mailed to you. Yes, you will pay a lot more than you would cash, and it has that on-time code- you don't pay, it doesn't start. But it saved out bacon several times. If you know what your're getting into, it won't be upsetting, especially if you really need a car. Obviously, I have 3 from them, and they are all still running. They have problems, but as you can see they are all at least 13 years old with mileage typical(102,000 -149,000) for that year. They start and get me around with a minimum of fuss, and still look decent. But- unless you will be happy with this, look elsewhere!!! I feel if you don't do the research, you have no right to complain afterwards- that is, after you get the car you needed so badly, and now look sadly at the balance owed. They show you that in the office, so you can back out at any time- no excuses!

My husband and I have bought a few cars from Hawkeye when we were in desperate need of a vehicle. Our more recent car we bought elsewhere though because of Hawkeye's increasingly high auto prices. We ended up paying more for our car (after financing) than it is worth in the blue book. Payments are around $65 a week. The cars on the lot look nice & shiny but I've never had one last for more than a year & a half. I wouldn't recommend buying a car here unless you desperately needed one.
