5 Stars: Fast, easy service (by IhopBC)

AAA suggested I have my car towed to Westside when it would not start. I am in Des Moines attending Drake and did not know where to go. They were able to get me in that day and let me know in advance of the testing costs. They called me later in the day to let me know my fuel pump was not working. Westside got my car fixed that day with no hidden surprises on the final bill. Their service was fast and very professional.

5 Stars: They Fixed My Car ! (by Susan T.)

My car would sometimes not shift up in gears. I took it to a shop and they replaced some parts for $200. It still did not work, so they sent me to a transmission shop who said it needed to be rebuilt for a lot of money. I was looking for a second opinion and read about Westside Auto Pros on line. I went there and they found a bad wire to one of the sensors. They found the real problem and fixed it. My car works fine now. The mechanics there are very smart.

4 Stars: Friendly people, fast service (by Jackie W.)

My check engine light was on. I called the dealer and they said it was probably nothing and gave me an appointment two days out. That night I was getting gas at QT and it would not start, it was 10:30 pm and the dealer was closed. The clerk at QT told me to call Westside Auto Pros emergency number. I did and they sent a tow truck. They fixed it the next day. Turns out I should NOT of continued driving with the check engine light on and was given poor advice by the dealer guy. I will continue to use Westside Auto Pros, they were very helpful.

5 Stars: Best Car Repair Expierence (by WaukeeResident)

Wow ! I am glad I found this place. My car is my lifeline for getting the kids to school and myself to work. When it was not running smoothly I went to Westside Auto Pros. They were upfront with me and said it would be the next day before they could look at it, but gave me a free loaner car to use. The next day Brian called me with an update, a $300 part was needed, but they could also get a rebuilt version for $190. He said he would trust the rebuilt on his car, so I went with it. All is well and they even washed and vaccumed my car. Best of all, the final bill was $28.00 LESS than quoted. Nice clean shop that is honest and looks out for me. I have since refered my sister who also had a good expierence.

5 Stars: Saved the day (by mltmcne)

I have been taking my car to Westside for a couple of years and have always enjoyed good service and 1 day as I was running some errands before going out of town for a short trip my car started flashing a light on the dash and since I know nothing about cars I quickly called Westside and relayed my story and told Jeff how urgent it was to get it fixed since I was leaving to go out of town and he told me to drive it over immediately and they would see what they could do. Ten minutes later I was at Westside and within a few minutes my car was in the shop and another few minutes my washer fluid was replenished and after some good nature ribbing I was on my way out of town. It is this level of service that keeps me coming back and I know that my vehicles are in good hands. I always recommend Westside when asked and typically I do not recommend anyone as I am afraid it will come back on me but I have confidence in Westside.

5 Stars: Honest advice, great people (by CliveMom)

We were refered to Westside Auto Pros by AAA after we were told by another shop that we needed a head gasket (very expensive) on our Nissan. The staff at Westside were very friendly and explained their testing process and the related costs up front. Their tests showed our head gasket was fine, but there was a problem with the water pump. We had them replace it and now everything works fine. The owner, Ron, even called me a few days later to make sure all was well....I've never had that from a car repair shop! I can see why AAA refers people to this place.

5 Stars: They know cars and customer service (by jwafler)

I have used this place for 8 years. They not only know what they are doing with cars, they make the whole repair process easy. I usually use the shuttle service, but if the repair takes longer they give me a car to drive. Everyone is friendly and they are very trustworthy. Once I requested new brakes, and they told me they were ok, just needed to be adjusted. My car is always done on time. When they quote you a price, it is right on and there is never a surprise when you pick up your car. These guys are awesome ! Give them a try.

4 Stars: West Side Auto Pros car repair/maintenance (by jocelyn k.)

I have been using these guys for 10 years now and have watched them emerge froma small town Amoco mechanics station to their own business. Yhey are so thorough. If there is a car problem, and I have had them all, they will find the ailment. They are literally Nascar material. They are perfectionists though...and with that comes many reccomendations to "fix it all" which sometimes need to be sorted out...as well as pricey, but they semm honest and they know thier stuff!!

PROS: Very Good mechanics...the best!!!!
CONS: expensive at times!
