Ratings_icons THE GREATEST ITALIAN SAUSAGE!!

Terry T.

In my 56 years I have never found an Italian Sausage that will beat Graziano's! I use it in everything from hot sausage sandwiches, spaghetti, goulash, lasagna to pizza! I even add it to my meatloaf. If it's not Graziano's I won't use it!

Ratings_icons Italian Grocery at its best!

Marv R.

40 huh? Well I'm 61 and I still go back to Graziano's evry time I return to Des Moines. People can argue forever about the "best" of anything but what it boils down to is what your favorite is. Graziano's is absolutely my favorite Italian grocery to walk into. Yes the moment you walk in you are in sensory heaven. The sausage can not be found anywhere else (except in local groceries where they sell direct to) and I know because I have tried everywhere I travel. We make our own "Guinea Grinders" with Graziano's sausage. Before anyone blows a gasket about the name "Guinea grinder" anyone from Des Moines knows what a "Guinea Grinder" is and I assure you it is not an offensive term to the dozens of local diner, bars and restaurants in Des Moines (many owned or started by Italians) who have been selling them for generations. Anyway politics aside if you are looking for an Italian market like you grew up with as a kid, a throwback to the good ol days, make Graziano's a destination stop when you visit Des Moines.

Ratings_icons Graziano Bros is The only true Italian sausage maker

Nancy S.

after eating the sausage sandwiches at The Tavern in WDM, we begged to know where their Italian sausage came from. Best sandwiches best meat, you got it, Grazianos. This was in the late 60's, youngest kid was four. We went off to Grazianos and started buying and building our own, though regularly return for our Tavern pizza and sanwiches. That four year old is now 40 and The sausage and subsequent sandwiches are still the best ever tasted!!! five stars!!!

Ratings_icons Smells fill your belly

While they have not spent any money on updating this place since I was a kid you could not find a better place to disappear on a Saturday morning. Just bring your wallet as I guarantee that you will have a hard time passing up on the fresh sausage and cheeses that they provide. Pick up some Italian cookies and pasta straight from Italy. As soon as you hit the front door the spices will knock you back and fill your belly.
