Heart To Heart Bridal

My mother, aunt, grandmother, and best friend went to Heart to Heart in North Liberty looking for my wedding dress. We were just starting our search and decided to start at this shop.

We were greeted the moment we walked into the store. The staff asked what we were looking for and accomodated us. The sales associate the worked with us was amazing. She let us wander and pick out what I wanted both in style and price range.

Every time I tried on a dress the sales associate was there to help and adjust the dress to make it look its best. She also added details like a veil and a headpiece that matched and enhanced the dress to make it look its best.

We weren't expecting to find my dress that day but we did. The sales associate brought the dress out (off the sales rack too) and put it in my pile. It was THE DRESS!!!

That day we bought my dress, my veil, and my headpiece. It was an amazing experience and I will be back to get my bridesmaids dresses. The staff was knowledgable, helpful, and never pushy. Heart to Heart should be everyones first stop when looking for a dress :)

In the past few months I have been to at least 30 dress shops with my best friend (the Bride to be.) Heart to Heart in North Liberty is by FAR the best place we've been to.

The employees are kind, caring, quick to help, and go out of their way to ensure you have been taken care of properly. My friend is a size 16, and let me tell you, it's hard to find ANY wedding boutique that offers anything about a 12, let alone plus sizes. Sure, there was a smaller selection of those sizes, but that's to be expected.

We've been downright appalled at some of the other stores in this area - who will completely ignore you to take care of their "important" clientele, even when you have scheduled an appointment. Heart to Heart was a complete breath of fresh air amidst the rude and snobby saleswomen at some other stores.

I'm not sure where some of these other reviews are coming from, but I am recommending Heart to Heart to everyone I know. I will be coming back in the future for my own wedding. If I could rate tehm higher than 5stars, I would.

I was just at Heart to Heart in North Liberty when an angry customer came in. She was complaining about a small charge about extra lenght or something and was getting pretty loud with the manager. Well, the manager was great - she kept very cool with her and stayed calm and explained the situation. from what I overheard, the lady had won a free bridal dress worth $600 but was complaining because of some money being given to the wrong bridesmaid or something. she kept saying she wanted something for free, even though she'd already gotten a dress for free. The manager was very good - i felt sorry for her having to deal with an angry person who obviuosly wasn't listening to reason.

I am ordering my dress from them next week!

I want to personaly thank Samantha and the other girls at Heart to Heart in North Liberty for their excellent service! They were so nice and we had a lot of fun trying on gowns. Having used to work in a bridal salon, I know that there are about a million things going at a time all the time but these girls were very helpful and always cheerful. Sure, the dresses take a long time to come in, but thats true at any real bridal salon. If you want your dresses fast and poorly made, go to David's Bridal... but they will look awful and their workers won't treat you half as good as they would at a real salon. Go see Samantha at Heart to Heart. You won't regret it!

My now-wife and I got our wedding stuff at Heart to Heart in North Liberty. I know my wife had a great time when she was there. They even made sure I wasn't uncomfortable being a dude in a bridal shop when it was time to pick out tuxes. The manager, Samantha, was especially helpful and made my wife really happy about her dress. All of my guys were happy with their tuxes and they fixed a few pant legs right there that day . they were very fast and very cool about it, even with some unruly guys. I appreciate their help and their great attitudes! thanks for getting our marriage off to a good start!

Despite what many of the reviewers here say, I had a great experience at Heart to Heart. First, I got my gown for a great price and they gave me a lot of opportunities for discounts on other stuff like tuxedos and dresses for bridemaids. The employees were all very nice, and very helpful - even though it was super busy when I went in and I didn't have an appointment, they made sure to check on me and make sure they answered any questions I had.

I did hear that they recently got a new manager - maybe that is why my experience is so much better than other reviewers. But either way, give Heart to Heart a chance - I'm very glad I did, and I will be getting EVERYTHING at Heart to Heart.

Great customer service until you buy the dress. It came in late and the alterations cost was more then the dress to begin with. I also had trouble convincing her how I wanted it altered. She had her idea of what the dress should look like and seemed very annoyed when I did not agree. Beautiful dresses, bad customer service. I am sorry that I gave them more money to alter the dress but I only had two weeks before the wedding since the dress came in very late.

I just wanted to thank everyone at Heart to Heart Bridal for all the help they have provided me in the last year. Both stores were very helpful. Thank you personally to Deb who helped me find the perfect dress! To help future brides out I would highly recommend either Heart to Heart and also know (Kristin B) that dresses do run small and take time to come in. I am normally a 6 sometimes an 8 but I needed to order a 10. Make an appointment and go in. You won't regret it!!

I wish I could give this review less than one star! We ordered the bride's wedding dress and 5 bridesmaids dresses. My cousin is a size 0. When they fitted her they said she needed a girls size 16. We just picked up her dress and it's like a garbage bag on her. They tried to tell us that a girls size 16 is equivalent to a woman's size 12! What?!!? If this is true, common sense dictates a 90 lb. girl is NOT going to fit in a woman's size 12! Duh. They were rude, offered no help or exchange, or even a reason. It was terrible customer service. These weren't cheap dresses either. They made a lot of money off of us and that's all they care about. I will tell everyone I know NOT to go to Heart to Heart!

I was so happy when my dress came in, i wanted to try it on right away. The seamstress was very helpful. But after finding out what the amount was to alter the dress when the same woman took my fitting, I about fainted. I spent alot of money to buy my dress and even more to have it made faster and then to top it off, adding another $300 dollars to the bill was outrageous. Then when I asked for it so that I can get it done cheaper, your receptionist was very rude and I was told under no circumstances to not bring my dress back. My experience with your employees was not up to standard. And if you read this and get a good laugh, I will not have underestimated your companies professionlism

Worst service ever.My bridesmaids gowns didn't make it on time to the store before my wedding date. Good Thing we decided to postpone our wedding!! When the dresses finally came in, we picked them up to store them at my house. They wanted us to store them there, but I wasn't comfortable with that idea.When we picked a new date for the wedding, we had the same bridesmaids, but 2 were pregnant now. We needed extra fabric ordered for the dresses. The wrong fabric was ordered and this wasn't found until I drove an hour there to pick it up!!! Then it was my fault because I'm not sure why.My mom ordered her dress through here as well and it came 1 week before my wedding and she still needed it altered!My daughter had a matching flower girl dress, and we wanted to add a little piece of fabric into the chest area because it was so low cut and she is only 3...so not very appropriate. They charged us over 50 dollars to sew in a 2 inch piece of fabric!!!!I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone!

after searching waterloo and cedar falls for a wedding gown and a evening gown for a military ball, I ventured to Cedar Rapids Heart to Heart. I was greeted by the owner Deb and she was the one that helped me throughout the visit. I did not have an appointment but she was still eager to help me, she first handed me a handful of rings to put on the hangers of dresses that I'd like to try on. She prepared a room for me and offered to help zippers and such. She would help me get to the mirror and stand in front of the mirror together we imagined ideas. I really enjoyed my experience there. I felt so lucky I found my 2 perfect dresses that day which is not an easy task for me. Both dresses were in my size and I asked if I could by them off the rack. Deb let me I was thrilled especially since I only had three weeks til the ball- not enough time to order a dress. I got home a noticed on the ball gown that it had the word SAMPLE embroidered into the dress it was on the bottom of the dress- I wasn't happy. I called Deb and she offered to exchange the dress or to have her seam stress removes the word. I drove back down there today they removed the word and overall it looks good. Deb kept making sure I was happy. So thank you Heart to Heart for helping me with two very special days!

Found the perfect dress at the CR store. Called to have it taken to the North Liberty store since I live an hour and half South. Once we arrived the dress was not there! The manager from the CR store (who I had worked with directly) didn't even appologize and tried to make it my mistake. Then she said, "Here is your dress" and it was the wrong dress? Which I found interesting considering she went on and on about my dress and said she would write it down.

After waiting around for her to finish up an appointment, which should have been mine at the NL store, she finally awknowledged us and wasn't nice at all. Then when I asked to get measured to order the dress she kept insisting I have my shoes before I get fitted. She didn't act like she wanted my business. We asked about price matching and she said good luck beating this price...I am excited to annouce we did by a landslide!

Because of all the drama and rude customer service, not to mention gas money wasted you lost a buy that day. I ordered my dress through Sarah's Bridal of Mt. Pleasant and was very impressed with there friendly service. They not only beat Heart to Hearts price but they also beat their service! Get a new manager!

They were friendly & helpful until our dresses were ordered. I never received a call that my dress was in & it was inconvenient that you need to call a week in advance to have them brought from their North Liberty store. When we showed up for our fitting appointment we were not even helped. We were directed to the back of the store to try on the dress and just left to try it on without any assistance. After the lack of help & unfriendly atmosphere we decided to take our alterations elsewhere. I always prefer shopping local businesses first but after the terrible customer service I would strongly recommend giving David's Bridal a try, as I've also purchased a dress there for another occasion and they were extremely helpful and kind. Not to mention their prices are 50% less!

Horrible customer service! They are wonderfully nice and helpful until you pay for your dress.
Be informed! There is a "contract" on the back of your receipt, they do not let you know that you are signing the contract when you are paying for your dress.
The wrong size was ordered even though I asked for the correct size. No help after the dress came in. I was forced to use their seamstress because there wasn't enough time to find someone else. Go somewhere else and give someone your money. Horrible customer service!

Once you pay for your dress the customer service is all down hill from there! Customer service was virtually nonexistent once I paid for my dress, not to mention the lack of organization on behalf of the staff. I had payments screwed up on the bridesmaids dresses, when we made an appointment there was no one to help, and they didnt order accessories that I asked them to several times. DO NOT GO HERE! I am sure there are much better places in the area that would be grateful to have your business!

What a great place to go. We had to do that unthinkable of finding a formal dress for a wedding. They have a great selection of dresses in really nice colors. The staff are helpful and willing to help you search for that perfect gown. They do have a second location in North Liberty.

Recently I was looking for a gown to wear to a family wedding. Remembering this shop, I ventured to North LIberty and checked it out. Not only is it is a picturesque little country church, but the gowns inside are breathtaking! And I am not just talking wedding gowns,.....there were gowns of all colors, lengths, styles and prices avaiable and though I did not purchase any item at that time I was impressed enough to return and check it out should the need arise again for a formal dress.

PROS: ....wonderful selection
CONS: .....none

This is a great to go if you are looking for wedding items. I went here with my wife to be and they have a great selection of wedding dresses to choose from. When we told the employees what we were looking for they told us what they had and we were very pleased with the selection they had. Their employees are very nice and helpful.. A+++

Heart to Heart Bridal & Formal located in Cedar Rapids Iowa is a GREAT place to go if you are looking for a wedding gown. They have a wide selection to choose from and their staff is very nice! A+++

At heart to heart you can also buy gowns for other occasions like prom and Homecoming dances. There store has a variety of choices and colors and they have a variety of sizes for any of the gowns, especially for the bridal gowns.
