I have been a Daydreams customer for over 5 years now and I'm noticing that that Staff has been less and less helpful these days compared to the times before Daydreams moved to their new location on Dubuque St.

When I asked if they had a catalog so I could see a list of titles that perhaps I was looking for, the person claimed that they only had them on record for a year and the title that I was looking for was from perhaps 4-5 years ago before their relocation.

So that wasn't very helpful. Now I'm left empty-handed with nothing and still wondering what the title of that book is. I'm pretty sure that they have a "classified" catalog that they obviously won't reveal to customers, I know, but still, I was obviously giving them the hint that I would purchase it immediately if they could help me find it.

I suppose the overall quality of the items in the store gets a 4/5 stars, but then the staff just kills it. 1/5

They do have a large variety of comic books and items etc... but it's more of a get what you want and get out customer service.

This comic store boasted an extremely knowledgable staff. It is located in downtown Iowa City, Iowa. The lay-out of the store left me wanting for more but the staff more than made up for it. They were very cheerful and more than knowledgable- this comic book store knows comics!!!

I'm way too old to be as into comics as popular culture would lead you to believe. That said, I've lived all around the United States and I've shopped at a bunch of local comic shops (or LCS's).

Daydreams is well maintained. The area is clean and the employees are very helpful. I've had a pull list with them on and off for over ten years. As far as that goes I have to admit a pet peeve of mine; I hate it when they lop titles in that aren't on my list. I'm sure some folks love it so take that with a grain of salt.

The one big 'con' I can think of is despite my pull list, I regularly miss out on issues in my pull list due to ordering low or whatnot. It's not too big a deal, they can usually get a 2nd printing of the book if nothing else (which, as a collector, is not up to par).

All in all the space is great, the comics are in fantastic condition - but if you get a crap copy their customer service is great and they'll fix it, - and they can get pretty much anything you want if it's not on hand.
