They have no knowledge of construction. This is the contractor the Better Business Bureau should have warned you about!!!! Why Are these people still in business?

We hired Bea St. Builders to install siding, roofing, doors, windows etc. on our new home. It was a horrific experience. Virtually everything they did must be redone. They told us it was a 3 week, 22K job. When we get the fixes done it will be ~10 months and ~70K. We may be forced to sell the house we saved hard many years for. They did not construct proper valleys in the roof. They face nailed 100s of nails through my roof, making 100s of holes. The siding must be entirely removed and replaced. I have inch+ gaps filled with globs of caulking, they punctured my plumbing with siding nails that ignored the studs, I have siding boards revealing 3-8 inches mixed up on the house. Boards are crooked, cracked, and nailed improperly. We have smashed and bent flashing, stairs 3/4 inch unlevel, lack of starter board to cover tar paper on shakes. They refused to overlap and tape wrap even after being told dozens of times over months. I have extensive areas of living space with no wrap at all. I have tyvek sticking out of finished siding. My soffits have gaps big enough to put a hand in. They nailed rather than bolted beams together, they sprayed my house with rocks, turned my yard into a mud bog. They tried to charge me 10-12 hours for items that should not take more than one hour. I have doors 3/4 inch out of square, with no shims or proper holding nails or screws. One task was done so poorly that the boss admitted it was done by a "drunk person", yet she refused to fix it. They took several of my tools when they left and will not return them. They lied repeatedly to me and one employee physically threatened me. I could go on and on. They are painters who falsely advertise they can do things they cannot. I could sue them, but I'd have to stand in line.

One star is more than they deserve.

WARNING! NICE PEOPLE-BUT DONT HAVE THEM WORK ON YOUR HOUSE!
Blatant inability to apply basic carpentry techniques. Having to re-do our siding, windows and roof. If you do not know what you are doing, you should not be in business trying to make other people think you do! This crew has no idea about nail patterns, correct measuring and cuts, and they proved it on our house.

PROS:
CONS: DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE!
