I go to Victory Greens several times per year. Always the best. Best staff, best service, and best bulk selection. They even have a drive-thru window in the rock yard to save me time! Best garden compost selection I have found along with almost every decorative rock available. I moved to the treasure valley five years ago and once I found them I have been a loyal customer ever since. I am a nut for a deal so I do shop around, but so far nothing compares to Victory Greens for price and selection.

Victory Greens may not have the best customer service but I love the variety and prices. If you dirty hipsters want to say they unfriendly fine, you _don't_ have to shop there. Besides you should be off supporting the box stores anyway. Right? Go to the nurseries in Boise you will pay twice the price and most of them won??t have the selection (or stone) and aggregates. Again, while I don't like everything about Victory Greens (but I am a bit agoraphobic) I love it once I get there. I know where things are, the people are friendly to me, their quality rivals any in Boise and the prices are pretty darned good. God bless being able to have a choice.

This place is big, the people are friendly, and they have a lot of options for any landscape project, which is a huge plus. They have everything from boulders and large stones to flagstone, pavers, retaining wall blocks and ledge stone. They sell a pretty great selection of decorative groundcover for the zero-scapes out there, and I've found that the employees are very knowledgeable and quick to give great advice. Outside of the hard-scape purchases and dealing with the stone yard, I don't really have any other experience here, but from how helpful they've been to me on my paver, retaining wall and aggregate purchases, I'm sure they're more than capable of answering all your landscaping needs. Very Good; Selection, Value, Service, and Inventory!

Big thanks to the guys at Victory Greens. Last year I had a bad experience at a nursery in Nampa and even though the problem was theirs, they wouldn't give me the time of day. The guys at Victory Greens were very friendly and took time to listen to me and made buying four new trees quick and easy. Their prices were half the price of the fancy place on Happy Valley road. I just want to thank them for their great service. Now when I need help on my tree and shrub questions I work with them and they are always knowledgable and very helpful. I buy with confidence and recommend them highly.

My husband and I have always been treated fairly at Victory Greens. The employees are helpful and usually have the products in stock. Their prices are as good or better than others in the valley and their quality is can't be beat. We always recommend them to our friends and family. Go check them out for yourself, you will become one of their customers.

I recently moved into a new home. The inside is perfect but the outside left a lot to be desired. As my "honey do" list began to stack up, I was refferd to Victory Greens. A helpful young lady dressed as a cowgirl told me about low maintaince trees and shrubs. She also helped me figure out how much gravel I would need. Before I got home my rock delivery was in my driveway. The next day we had the trees planted. Now that we have shade trees for privacy and colorful plants we are able to enjoy our backyard retreat! I found Victory Greens to be helpful, friendly and fast. I was pleased when every detail was explained to me and I was encouraged to call if I had any questions. I would recomend Victory Greens to a friend.

We had a horrible experience with Victory Greens. We bought 20 yards of gravel for our new construction home. The gravel was filled with weeds/dirt/mud. We had make a screener to remove the dirt. We then had to put the rocks in 5 gal buckets with holes drilled the bottem. We then rinsed the rocks and hand dumped in all the landscaped beds. If we would have just dumped the rocks weeds would have grown everwhere. I called the manager & also sent him photos. The manager never responed to any of my requests. We reported them to the Better Business Bureau with photos. Victory Greens never responded to the BBB. Do not used them unless it is the only place you can buy the type of rock.

First I would I would like to say I have Landscaped my last three homes using Victory Greens. After reading Kevin W's post you should call around to the other stone yards in the valley and you will find "you would have paid half again more'. By the way I have had over a dozen deliveries over the past 9 years and 'the old guy' was friendly and very professional (and 2/3rds the price) not to mention the product cost at over a 30% savings. I have always went in or call in, ordered my products, and practically the same day had my deliveries made with no incident. Oh well, I'm sure its sour grapes for some reason, but I would use Victory Greens again on my next project. I'll bet there is two sides to these stories. Anyway I think the staff over there do a nice job of handling the volume they seem to do. Give them a try.

Laughing my butt off reading Kevin W's post as I thought I was the only one who had a crazy experience. I honestly believe they get part of the delivery fee, the old guy drives around in a super expensive truck and bad mouths any /all landscapers, that they don't know rock or how much is how much. This old guy should step down out of his high truck (castle) and actually work a day moving the crap he just dumps any old place he chooses.

I had intended to make over 40 to 80 yards of purchases, i made one and had a horrid experience. Never again.

This place does have a large selection and the prices are average. However, the employees need to attend a seminar on customer centric service. They are terse, grouchy and don't seem to care if you shop there or not.

I called on a Wednesday afternoon about 3:30 to ask about delivery of some rock for Thursday so I could have it ready and waiting on my day off the next Friday, my day off. The description of what I needed and the products she was describing were not agreeing. "You should come in first thing in the morning (on Thursday) and we will line up a Friday delivery. We are booked up on Thursday but Friday is wide open." This made sense. At 8:30am the next morning, I showed up and made my purchase of 2 yards of large cobble and 4 yards of 3 quarter drain rock for my driveway. Nearly $350 dollars is what the lady asked for. I questioned the amount. There was a 60 dollar delivery fee. My home is about 15 miles from the business. "Yes sir, there is a 50 dollar fee to deliver and a 10 dollar separation fee." I asked for a "first thing in the morning delivery." She said she would do her best. Friday morning came and I waited. Lunch came and I waited. At 2 o'clock, I called and asked for an ETA. "Let me call the delivery guy and ask." At 3:30, I called back. ??He didn't call you back...oh, and I see him loading your stuff now." At 4:15 a truck drives up and parks in front of my home in the road. The driver does not get out of his truck. I walk over to the driver's side and attempt to speak to the driver, but my attempts to communicate are abated due to the loud engine and the height of the driver in the closed door, open window truck. I waved on of my waiting neighbors by and start to walk back up to the truck for my second attempt to communicate with the driver who seemed to be ensnared by the vinyl of his truck. He starts backing up and started to dump the load in my flower bed. "No! No! Not there." He get's out, "well, were do you want it then; you have to stand where you want it." This was the moment I started to regret not taking Landscaping 101 and How to communicate with old rude guys 102 in college. "I need the large stone over here and the small over here. Let me show you." He rebuked, "No, just stand where you want it." I returned, "No, you walk with me so we do not have another misunderstanding." Here is the good part: "No, you stand and I will dump." I started to think about the $60; and how it was so nicely spent (speaking facetiously). It only got better when the 2 yards of large cobble came pouring out with some nice dirt, sand, small pieces of wood and a plastic bottle (again, facetiously speaking). This was the value of my other $290. I walked over to where I needed the other rock poured. He backed up and started to pour. I stood there as he did and breathed in the dust from the sand and dirt mixed in with this product as well. The old guy got out to secure his bed and started with the small-talk as if were now best buds. Upon leaving, I called Victory Greens and asked for someone in charge. I gave him the nitty-gritty about my experience and asked him what reason he could give me to return to his business. 15 seconds of silence. Hey, NO JOKE. He did not say a word until I asked, "Are you still there." He came alive, "yes sir." Another moment of silence. "Well," I asked. The manager went on and on about how he is a "grump" at times and he does his best and bla, bla, bla. "What would you like me to do?" My request for a refund of my delivery fee was rebuked as were my other requests. ??We contract this guy, take it up with him.? I explained that I did business with Victory Greens and not the grumpy guy (as he himself described his contractor and ambassador for his business). I worked on my day off until nearly dark. It is Saturday morning and I wanted to wait until 10am as to NOT wake my neighbors up as I use my Shop Vac to clean the dirt and sand from my large cobble. I wish I could spend the day with my wife and new baby, but Victory Greens made sure that I would find myself working twice as hard for the equivalent of nearly a week??s pay.

When we first moved, and needed to plant shade trees, the folks at Victory Greens were very helpful in helping us find the perfect trees for our yard, lifestyle and budget. They even stayed after closing time to help us out, taking their time wandering through the maze of trees with us. I highly recommend them to anyone who is landscaping their yard.

They really have a wide variety of different plants, shrubs, and trees to choose from. They also have TONS of different decorative rocks (both small & large boulders), flagstone rocks, top soil, and barkdust (from small to large chunks as well as shredded bark) to choose from. They also sell strips of sod. They do deliver so if you don't have a truck, it's the ideal solution!
