Casa De Oro Restaurante

Went to this restaurant for the first time with my wife and two year old son. We asked for guacamole and after we were half we threw it I realized I was chewing on a staple and a small piece of paper. After informing the waiter, he told me that the paper was from the package they use to make the guacamole, as if it may have happened before. I am not sure if they also often have staples in there food? It was fortunate it was not my two year old son who was chewing on it! My wife were turned off our food after this, yet what we did eat was still not particularly good. We would recommend you do not visit this restaurant, especially if you have children!

This is one of Coeur D Alene's best Mexican spots. The food is very tasty. I would recommend the veggie burrito. that along with one of their large margaritas makes for a great lunch. the decor is terrific. i would recommend this place to anyone that is a connoisseur of Mexican food.

I used to go to Casa De Oro about once a week with friends. I absolutely love their food. The price is awesome for the quantity you get.

Until recently they also had great service, but they sold or something, and the service went totally downhill to the point where I don't feel entirely welcome anymore. It's a shame, because the food is still quite good. But I'm much more likely to go elsewhere now.

PROS: Excellent food
CONS: Service is not up to par
