Sage Baking Co

the Sage Bakery is one of the few places that has an open mic night, (Thursdays 7:00Pm to 9:00PM) There is no tip jar on Thursday nights. Open mic performers are there maybe to audition for a Friday or Saturday night show. On Friday and Saturday nights the performers play for the tip jar; the business does not take any of the money. I don't know how that idea got started, if anything the Sage might add to the tip jar.
The food, coffee, and drinks are great and it's a place to go listen to some good talent, either on Thursday's open mic or on Friday and Saturday when the musicians play for the tip jar. The atmosphere is good and a bit crowded at times so come early for a good seat.
If you would like to visit while the band is playing there is a back room where you can get away from the crowd and not disturb the performers while they are trying to perform. People would like to listen to the performers and it is good manners in the part of the audience if you would hold the conversations down or go to the back room and visit if you have no interest in the performance.

Clean and friendly, great food. One complaint. On Friday nights they have music and the place is over filled with people, gathering chairs and squeezing people in...and the band does not get paid so people have to put money in a jar. So when they have a band and the place is packed and they are making money, not ovly do we have to buy food and drinks, we have to pay the band....I would donate even more to the jar for the band if I knew the bakery was giving the band part of the "take".......

SOUP'N SANDWHICH LUNCHES.GOOD FOR THE GRANDKIDS

The Sage Bakery is a locally owned bakery and carries a superior selection of home baked goodies and breads to choose from daily. Opens early and has great coffee and drinks available. We really enjoy stopping here on our way out of town to take whole grain scones and coffee with us on our trip. For lunch they have homemade soup and bread that really does not compare to anything else here in the valley. Excellent customer service and even kid's special pbj or cheese sandwiches to keep them happy while the adults visit. I would definitely recommend going here for a break or lunch anytime!

This is a great place for coffee and a fresh baked scone or other goodie. I have not tasted one bad thing there. Their lunches are great too. Nice and cleand with great friendly service. Great place to meet up with friends.
