I have 2 cats. I got the first one she was only 4 weeks old. She was ill and had to have antibiotics before she could even start her shots. The Dr. was great with her. He got her well then gave her her shots. Then we got her spayed and declawed. The techs were wonderful. They even put up my overpertecivness. My other cat is a maincoon. All of them took such great care of him when I had him nuetered, and again when we had him declawed. I even take him in every other month or so to him groomed. The groomers do a fantastic job. I highly recommend.

Don't trust their "estimates", and don't expect them to take responsibility for any errors they make.

We have been taking our 5 miniature schnauzers and litters of puppies to Knights Vet for about 6 years now, and while it's not always been a perfect experience, it has been okay, until today.

My oldest miniature schnauzer had a tumor on her belly, and I saw one doctor who took x-rays and blood tests, and asked me if I wanted an estimate. I said yes, and he gave me the high and low parameters of the costs.

A different doctor did the surgery, and when we were presented with the bill, the surgery was higher than the highest amount quoted for the surgery portion. I knew I would have to get the estimate to them to dispute the charges, so I paid the entire bill knowing I would get a credit back once I showed them the proof of the estimate.

They had put a collar on my dog before we took her home on the day of surgery, (Friday) because she wouldn't quit licking it. 2 days later, Sunday, my dog was in extreme pain, and the incision sight was swollen and almost her entire stomach was extremely red. The pain medication they gave me did not seem to be helping her.

I scheduled an appointment, and when I got to the vet, he had to remove some staples because there were clots, and restaple the lower portion of the wound. He mentioned that the collar did not seem to be long enough to keep her from licking it, and that the collar itself was agitating the wound because it was hitting it when she tried to lick. We got a new collar, and from then on, and with the new medication, she started to get better.

Today my husband went in to get a puppy a checkup, so I called them to discuss the charges that were oustanding from that Sunday visit - $81.20, plus the fact that my husband was bringing in the estimate to show them they had overcharged us for the surgery.

I told them that I didn't think the Sunday fee was fair because I wouldn't have had any problems if the correct collar had been put on her from the beginning. I didn't mind paying for the meds and the bigger collar, but to be charged $56.25 for their mistake, wasn't fair. (To be fair, they waived the visit fee, and just charged me the after hours fee.) I sure wish I earned $237.00 extra per hour on weekends! ($56.25 x 4 because it took him about 15 minutes or less to restaple her stomach.)

After my husband spoke to the doctor today, they issued us a $40.00 "courtesy credit" towards both issues. I wasn't happy about that, so I left a message for the doctor to call me to discuss it. The doctor disagreed with me on both issues, and then told me that even the $40.00 was probably more than he should have given us. "We have families to feed, and expenses to pay, so we can't be giving away services." Well, I guess there's many ways to get more money from clients:
1) Not taking responsibility for mistakes made when the dogs get sicker so we have to bring our pets back in on weekends, and
2) Overbill the customer from an estimate that gave the lowest and highest cost.

That will be, however, the last time they are able to do that to us, because we won't be going back to them.

Let's see...5 dogs plus about 20 puppies to never come back through your doors again... I think that was worse for business than what should have been a $96.25 credit, just to be fair to us. You have all the power, doctors, so remember that what you do will affect your business - for better or worse! I was going to recommend you to a friend to have their dog neutered, but I won't do that now... The losses are already starting to add up!

(By the way, we refused the $40.00 credit because I wouldn't want the doctor to not be able to feed his family tonight!)

The Veterinary Doctors at Knights are the most honest men I have ever met. They are all men of great character and a well functioning staff. I would recomend business with them and especially the care of any of your house or farm animals.

They are very well priced. but...the vet techs have no clue what they are doing, and when i wanted to ask questions they would cut me off and were very rude. they left a stitch in my dogs eye when they were supposed to be removing then and the stitch scratched his cornea!!! the docs are good but not too caring but DO NOT TRUST THE TECHS!!!

I take all three of my cats here, and they are very helpful, and very good with my cats. I also have a Chihuahua, and she doesn't mind going in and seeing everyone. I recommend Knight to all my friends, they are reasonably priced and very caring.

I took my one year old cat to have him fixed and de-clawed in one visit. It was an overnight stay for him, and we were both very nervous. But it turned out we had nothing to fear! The overnight facilities were clean and all the animals were well cared for. The healing process was fairly quick and, three years later, we have had no problems whatsoever. Now we enjoy having the cat around since he isn't "marking his territory" and clawing furniture. The staff was sincerely friendly and assuring. We take all our animals to Knights, and recommend to all our friends to do the same!

We took our 6 week old pug puppy for her first shots, we didn't know what to expect because it was the firt time we had been there. The staff were very friendly and we didn't have to wait long at all before being seen. The doctor was really good, he interacted with our 2 year old son and talked to him about the puppy etc, which made us all feel very welcome. He was very good with the puppy and explained every step of what he was doing and how to take care of her etc. Very informative and will definitely be returning soon for her other shots.

We took our ten week old puppy to Knoghts yesterdaty for his shots. I was a bit nervous since I had never been here before. The staff were wonderful. They were so gentle with Miko. I don't think he even realized he was given a shot. The doctor was great. They were priced very resonable and I will be definetly be bringing Miko back there.

PROS: I didn't feel rushed or timed being there
CONS: Waiting room is kinda small, but workable!~
