I've visited this clinic twice-- once with my rabbit and once with my rat. The first time I went was during the weekend and my normal vet was closed. I called the Spokane Emergency Vet and they would not even talk to me about a rabbit. My bunny's foot was injured and the Post Falls vet was quick to assess his injury. They provided great care and the bill was the same price that I paid to just have a check-up at my regular vet.
The second time I visited I was even more impressed. My pet rat was injured very late at night and I didn't know if he could survive overnight. I called the clinic three times and the vet was patient with me and gave advice. After awhile I decided to drive all the way to Post Falls and I am glad I did. The vet tech was so caring and the vet was knowledgeable about rodents. The price I paid was worth it-- I am so glad there is an emergency vet that sees rabbits and rodents in the region. Don't even bother calling the emergency vet in Spokane, they won't even talk to you.

So it s all about money, no compassion or heart or soul....
You all will be damned---and I'll smite thee as you have done to those in need.

I was heartbroken when I had to bring my little shih tzu in to be put out of her misery with lymphoma. The Spokane Pet Emergency Clinic was somewhat cold when I called - and said I could not have a doctor - I could only have a vet tech. I then tried the Spokane Valley Animal Hospital, who was too busy to see her because they had other appointments, even though my little girl was having trouble breathing anymore. I finally called North Idaho Pet Emergency. The doctor and staff were so incredibly kind, and compassionate, and patient that I will likely not go back to the Spokane Pet Emerg. Clinic, and I will never go back to Spo Valley Emergency.
I cannot say enough good about this clinic. They are wonderful.

went into the Emergency Room on a Sunday after calling my vet and finding their info on his answering service. I was in a panic because my Service Dog had bloated overnight and was in major pain. I am so greatful for how kind and knowlegable they were. And thankful that a horrible outcome was made easier knowing that he didn't have to suffer until my vet opened on Monday.

I thought the price was more then fair and the service was excellent. Everyone I delt with was very gentle and kind.

I am so greatful that we have a vet option after hours and weekends in our area.

I feel terrible after leaving North Idaho Pet Emergency. I felt like they were just trying to get me for any money they could!!! It is nice to have a pet emergency hospital but I will drive to Spokane next time!!

Unfortunately the Spokane Pet Emergency will turn you away if you have a rabbit that needs care, regardless of how much you need help. Not so with Post Falls! They will treat your rabbit here, and not make you feel like a second class citizen for bringing in animal that is not a dog or cat. Thank goodness for them!

I was very impressed with the vet (I had both nights). She took her time, explaining things and answering questions.

However, the second night, the Panhandle Lab results, were useless she said, and she was upset and would have to run more tests. In the morning, when I was desperate to talk to her (and waited an additional 35 min.), she was "in surgery" and I was sent off (with my dying cat), with no idea of how the night went. In hindsight, I feel she was avoiding me, because she knew at that point, the outcome was grim and that I was probably wasting my time and money; but was following my vet's advice.

I'm grateful there was an all night/weekend vet hospital but am greatly dismayed, that vets in CDA or Hayden, don't have something here. I feel, the nightmare of having to transport my very ill (and dying) cat, back and forth (a 35 min. drive), for 3 days, will forever haunt me.

A couple years ago we took our mini schnauzer in to North Idaho Pet Emergency. He was three years old and had no health problems except for bloat. They said he was going to be fine and to pick him up in the morning. We got a call around midnight saying he went into cardiac arrest. They had overdosed his on pain meds.

Just the other day I had a good experience there. I had to rush my dog in, they took some xrays, figured out what was wrong, gave her pain meds and antibiotics and now shes doing great. I do feel that they may have tried to give her too much pain medication. She is pregnant and the pain meds have not been tested on pregnant dogs so the side effects for puppies are unknown.

All in all, I would say just make sure your comfortable with the vet that is taking care of your animal and supervise what is going on. Make sure you approve everything that is being done.

I love the conveneince and peace of mind that the North Idaho Pet Emergency Clinic provides. I had to use them at 11 pm one evening and it was so nice knowing that I'd be able to have my puppy seen in a quick and timely manner and not have to wait for the following day to arrive when it might have been to late.
