Centipedes, Ants, theft, loud neighbors, and water damage. These are a few of the headaches we've had to deal with since moving in at The Landing at Lake Harbor. We are on a ground level apartment and deal with bugs (including centipedes YUCK) on a regular basis. Don't keep anything of value (even a bicycle) on your patio unless you are prepared to have it stolen and never seen again. They don't have security cameras so anyone can just walk up and take whatever is not bolted down. The front door doesn't seal properly, light can be seen on the bottom and side of the door. Our outside patio area floods every time it rains (or when the sprinklers come on several times a day) and the water has come through the sliding glass door and onto the carpets, which are disgusting. We've had hundreds of ants entering our bedroom through the window this summer and even after the maintenance team sprayed we still have ants show up every now and again. The management team, while extremely friendly, lacks consistency...one person will tell you one thing, and the next person will tell you another and since there are several people that work in the office you're usually talking to a different person each time you come in. The ""Dog off leash area"" is a small grassy area off of the lake. There are no fences to keep your pet from running into the parking lot or falling into the lake so use with caution. Trying to find a parking spot reasonably close to your apartment during certain times of the day is almost impossible unless you want to pay an additional ten dollars a month on top of the expensive rent for a 'reserved' parking spot. And they don't like it if your car isn't running and is parked in a parking spot. If you don't get it up and running quickly they will have it moved (and charge you $50 dollars) off of their property onto the connecting private road and Verity Property Management (the ones who control the private road) will have your car towed for being parked there. The office and grounds are very pretty and well maintained, and the maintenance staff was always quick to respond, but overall this was a bad choice to move here. As soon as our lease is up we are out of this dump. I hope we save others from making the mistake of moving here.\n\nAlso, good luck getting your security deposit back from these con artists. You will not hear from them until way after the legal time limit for getting a security deposit back (30 days) and they will only send you a ""move out statement"" stating that you only paid $99 dollars (which is a lie) and that it was used for a ""light cleaning"" which is also illegal. Then they will refuse to talk to you and will refuse any letters you have sent to them. It is absolutely horrible what they do to people and I am writing this review to hopefully save people the headache.
