I won't shop at Broulims anymore. The french bread is always stale and one time the french bread had a large hole in the center. The produce is often bad and over priced. I do like the help out to the car but thats not enough to keep me coming back.

I've found Broulim's to usually be less expensive than Albertson's, and having much more variety than Wal-Mart, but I'll pay more and travel further to keep my family healthy, and Broulim's very often just doesn't do it. I can not tell you how many times I've bought bread there only to have it go bad or already be bad, and seen steaming moldy (absolutely no exaggeration) piles of produce like strawberries and mangoes rancid and for sale at a mediocre price. My family has gotten food poisoning from their tofu to include a young baby, which is very dangerous, and I have a friend who feels the same way I do after purchasing tinned goods that taste like mold and repeatedly buying spoiled milk. I really hate to be negative, but if I very rarely shop there now, and the only produce I usually risk are bananas. I politely told a store manager about my family's food poisoning and he apologized but I've seen no difference in the quality of their foods. Again I hate to be negative, but hopefully someone will read this and do something about the poor state of the store's produce in particular. On the up side, their bathroom is really cute, and their baggers are very kind and friendly. Now how about quality to match kindness?

I have been shopping at Broulims for decades now. The prices are a bit higher than the other grocery stores in the area, but I believe it's worth it to shop there. Their customer service is great. They even have young gentlemen at every counter to help you out with your groceries. The checkers are very friendly. Definitely a great store if you hit the "specials" but for regular items it is a bit pricey.
