5 Stars: They Go Out of Their Way for You (by Camille W.)

I have a rare genetic disorder where my body can't break down an amino acid in protein, translating to the inability to eat proteins. It's called phenylketonuria. Going to restaurants has always been a hassle for me and other Italian places state simply that they don't serve what's not on the menu. On Memorial Day, my boyfriend and I went out to Tomato Street and as expected there was nothing on the menu that I could have. After talking to Rachel, our server, we came up with a salad that wasn't even on the menu. She and her coworkers went out of the way to make sure I could eat something there. I really appreciate how they treated me as a friend, and not just another tip. It was a great experience and I will forever recommend this place to anyone who comes into town

4 Stars: Satisfyingly Crazy (by Patrick J.)

The experience can border on sensory overload. Its like Halloween and Christmas rolled into one and served with a side of Carnivale. Its like Disney bought the entire nation of Italy and somehow managed to condense it into an Americanized theme park that fits inside one modestly sized building. Its enjoyably chaotic, like what one might imagine a trip to the Alberto Zopp Family Circus might be like under the influence of mild hallucinogens, but with attractive young waitresses and waiters in silly hats instead of clowns and lion tamers. Its a visit to Coeur dAlenes perennially popular family Italian eatery Tomato Street, a long-time local favorite which sits amidst the glut of drive-through joints on Appleways fast food row.

4 Stars: Consistently Good Food (by Laura H.)

This is a place that you can get consistently good food. It is not gourmet but for the price ,I have never been disappointed. Our friends seem to like it too and we have often gone in groups. I think our favorite items are the smashed sandwiches, tasty and a great value.

4 Stars: Good food (by Shay O.)

I like Tomato Street as its not always crowded. Perhaps there are big name Italian restaurants around but to get in without waiting an hour is another story. Tomato Street has good food, great service and a good price.

5 Stars: pasta (by JUDY C.)

Tomato Street is my favorite Italian restuarant! The waiters and waitresses are always nice and each wears a unique hat of choice -some are quite interesting. I love the seafood mosticholii! Great food!

5 Stars: Great Italian (by Kathleen A.)

Tomato Street is perhaps my favorite Italian restuarant anywhere. Their pasta dishes are great but I especially recommend that chicken pizza. The crust is to die for. Try the table red wine, for the price its really not too bad.
