While it is sad that so many animals have to sleep day in and out in cages the Idaho (Boise) Humane Society has a wonderful staff. They seem to be very caring along with the volunteers that spends their days there. I have been there many times and have always been pleased with the employees attitudes and the cleanliness of the facility. We have 1 fur-baby from here and we were treated so kind while adopting. Adopting is the only way to go!!

By far, this is the best Humane Society (pound) I have ever gone to. The facility does a great job of adopting out dogs and cats, and I have adopted 3 cats from this facility. In order to adopt a kitten, you pay a small fee, then bring the animal back to have them spayed or neutered when they are old enough to tolerate the procedure. The animals here appear to be treated well, and receive good care from a kind and cheerful staff. They also boast several volunteers.
