I LOVE Sultan's Market! I eat there almost once a week, and all their menu items are great. From the chicken shawerma, kefta kabob to the popular falafel sandwhich, you can't go wrong with Sultan's!

Best falafel in the city is correct. the full-on sandwich is a wonderful cheap, quick, veg-friendly meal that is just messy enough to fit in well with the rest of Chicago cuisine. The food is whipped up by the affable and impressively speedy staff, you're in and out with time to spare before your lunch break is done. it's nice to know that wicker park's cheap eats can still maintain a little quality without losing their real estate.

I love the pitas here--they put extra Jerusalem salad in them which is a nice treat. It's not my favorite falafel in the city but it's pretty close--and a lot of people love it. The shwarma is also pretty good, and they put a generous amount of hummus and spicy sauce in the pitas. They also have an interesting array of Middle Eastern treats and some unusual drinks, like yogurt drinks and (my favorite) aloe juice. The service is very fast and it's quite reasonably priced.

Being from southeastern michigan and having had a lot of authentic middle eastern cuisine back home it is often difficult to find equally good food elsewhere; however, Sultan's Market rivals if not beats almost anything I have had before. The falafel is made fresh every 20 or 30 minutes and the hummus is great as well as the spicy sauce they add. It is also very inexpensive ($2.50 for the falafel pita), I am salivating just thinking of it.

This place is such a gem - incredible, fresh, authentic Middle Eastern fare that's inexpensive as well.

This place is so vegetarian-friendly - with a huge salad bar, hummus, falafel, but they also have meat options like shawarma. The hummus is housemade, and so good on their pita bread. I've never had a bad meal here.

Today I tried this interesting "yogurt drink" that I thought would be like kefir...but instead it was very sour and not sweet at all. Not very refreshing either. Next time I'll stick to aranciata.

Really good desserts too - my favorite is the vegan white chocolate raspberry bar.

Pros: Fresh food, Great prices

Cons: yogurt drink

This place is great for a quick, inexpensive lunch. The line goes extremely quick, but many times I've been charged a different price for the same exact meal I ordered the week before... so check and make sure your not being over/ under charged. The falafel sandwich is excellent for both vegetarians and meat eaters alike. Great quality for the price!

Pros: Fast service, quality food, inexpensive

Cons: Always charged a different price

Sultan's is so delicious. Sigh. The food is so fresh and comes in such large serving, it's the best bong for your buck in the 'hood. I love their falafel with extra hot sauce and their lentil soup. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night craving Sultan's. So, so good. They also have a great outdoor seating area in the summer. Fun, fun.

Pros: Best Middle Eastern Food in the City. Probably

Whatever you get here, you will be satisfied. But ask for extra napkins because it can get a little sloppy. lol. Don't forget to enjoy the lamb kabobs and don't forget the tabuli.

The food was great, but the service was lacking. The woman at the counter (I'm assuming the ower and mother) was not very nice. She over charged me and under charged my friend.
We had the chicken swarma and it was great, but very heavy. The chicken was not the best quality.
I will be back, but next time I'll order a veggie meal!

Pros: Great/cheap food

Cons: Meat quality / Service

Chicago lacks a significant number of middle-eastern food and supply places. Get familiar with Sultan's if you want access to some great finds.

Ive been coming here for years since it is so close to work- fast, fresh real Mid Eastern food. Great for veggies and meat eaters alike. While they are famous for their falafel, the lentil soup is a close second and is just what you need on a cold Chicago day. No problem getting extra hummus on your falafel or getting it as spicy (or not spicy) as you want. A great place to get a healthy, delicious meal for cheap!

Pros: By far the best Falafel in the city, friendly service, cheap eats

Cons: parking sometimes hard to find

Cons: No Parking
