very impressed with this practice
by ccacc
Brought my son after seeing 2 other chiropractors and 2 MD's. Still had recurring pain. Dr. Gutrich really listened and explained (for the first time) what the problem is and what can be done to correct the situation. He will have to go back, but not nearly as frequently as the other chiros, and will not have to mask the pain with prescriptions prescribed by the MD's.
Pros: spends time with patient, on time with appointments
Cons: none

Go see Dr. Mindy Cramer!
by tiffanyt2572
Dr. Cramer is warm, caring and really knows her stuff! I had a rotator cuff injury that I was going to PT for with minimal results. I decided to try Dr. Cramer, and wow, am I glad! Her work on me really made a difference. I really liked that she did more than just give me exercises, she massaged, stretched, and adjusted all parts of me and explained what she was doing while she was doing it. I highly recommend you see Dr. Cramer!

Saw Michelle for my first acupuncture treatment...
by ReflexologyRyan
It's great to find a skilled acupuncturist. It's great to find a warm, compassionate, open-minded person that inspires you. What's even better? Finding a skilled health professional that truly inspires to you live a healthier and happier life. I saw Michelle for my first full acupuncture treatment. Her demeanor was professional, friendly, and warm. I was a little nervous (though I'd never admit it), but was soon at ease while she asked me questions about my overall health and lifestyle. She took plenty of time to explain the treatment process, what it might feel like, and answered any questions I had. I could tell at once how much she loves and respects her work; after seeing many health professionals over the years, Michelle was, in a word, refreshing. I left feeling great, and slept well that night. She even gave me (GAVE ME) "moxa sticks" ( to help promote energy circulation, she told me) so I could work on myself at home (these things are amazing, so make sure you ask her about them!). I went for a few specific reasons, and got far more than I expected. Thank you Michelle!

Put Your Health in their Hands!
by Jandee
I have been going to Gutrich Chiropractic for 14 years, I was well taken care of by them and now go mostly for maintenance.
I have seen both Docs, the Massage Therapist and Accupuncturists; they are all great. If I ever had a medical ailment, I would go to Dr. Janet Gutrich for a professional opinion and referral before going to an M.D. Ja n Dee, Chicago
Pros: Hands on treatments!
Cons: On a side street

Michelle the healer
by MaijaS
Michelle Ferry gave me an acupuncture and hot cupping treatment. I was so impressed with the service I received! After a short interview with Michelle about my health and physical patterns in my body, she gave me a diagnosis of where the energy in my body needed to be revitalized before she even began the acupuncture. It was the first time I'd received acupuncture and it didn't hurt a bit. There were a couple of tingly areas and when I asked her about those, they matched exactly where she'd said my body was energy-deficient. The hot cupping removed all of the tension I'd been feeling throughout my back. The results of both have lasted. The thing that I liked the most about Michelle' treatment was the amount of information she shared with me about my body and how to continue the healing process outside of her office with her dietary recommendations. I would highly recommend Michelle's services to anyone and everyone!
Pros: Everyone was very helpful and friendly. I felt very comfortable asking questions.
Cons: Are there any?

Go see Dr. Cramer!
by rsqchic
Having seen Dr. Cramer a few times over the past year, I'd highly recommend her to anyone.
The first time I saw her, I thought I had an idea what the problem was, and told her so. She thoughtfully listened, then proceeded to perform a comprehensive evaluation--more than I'd ever had at a chiropractor in the past. She explained to me why I was experiencing pain, gave me info on exercises to make it better, and the treatment plan she would undertake. After a few sessions, the pain subsided. I've occasionally had flare ups, but because I knew what was causing the pain, I am able to correct the problem myself.
I recently returned from long, hard trip in Europe, and felt like I'd been struck by a bus. I thought about going to a spa for a massage, but decided to see Dr. Cramer, because a lot of the pain was actually in my joints. Once again, she started by checked me out--even for things that I wasn't complaining about. She did an adjustment on me, then had their massage therapist work on me for a little while. No lie, an hour later, I was totally pain free. Can't ask for anything better than that!

Best chiropractor in the city!
by aliamac
I've seen a few chiropractors and Dr Halliday is the best. He SPENDS TIME WITH YOU! Most others I've been to see you for 2 minutes and rush you out! I feel better than I've felt in years, both physically and emotionally. I finally found a chiropractor that cares!

Recommend Dr. Cramer
by bunior_jj
After putting up with a sore back for quite some time, a friend suggested (strongly) that I go see Dr. Cramer. I was pretty hesitant to go, as I had never been to a chiropractor before, and frankly, I wasn?t quite sure what a chiropractor actually did (and how they did it!). But, my concerns were wiped away with my first visit it Dr. Cramer. She took the time to explain everything to me; What she planned to do, Why, What the results were going to be, and, most importantly, What concerns I had about my treatment. I feel great now, and I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Cramer, especially to anyone that is a ?newbie? to chiropractic like I used to be.

Dr. Cramer
by isisis
Dr. Cramer has been a lifesaver for me. I am 62 years old and have had back problems for years. After moving, I needed to find a new chiropractor in a new city. Dr. Cramer came highly recommended by new friends. I couldn't be more grateful for the recommendation. Dr. Cramer gave me as much time as I needed to go over my problems and discuss a plan that we then put in action. As much as I loved my previous Dr., I am so happy to have moved here and met Dr. Cramer. I am doing better than I have in years. If you need someone who really listens and cares, try her out. She has excellent skills.
Pros: Personal attention, you aren't just a number here

Highly recommend Dr. Cramer
by marconi72
Dr. Cramer is excellent. I had been to many differnet Chiropractors but she really stands out. Her bedside manner is professional and courteous and she really took the time to listen to my problems and do a thorough exam before diagnosing and treating me. I have been a fan ever since and my neck and shoulders feels great! I recommend Dr. Cramer to anyone who is looking for great chriopractor with your best interests in mind.
Pros: Professional and thorough with treatment
Cons: none

Warm & Wonderful
by elsie_s
You know how sometimes you feel rushed in a Doctor's office? Like they have more important things to do than to take care of you? Not here - Dr. Halliday is a super listener and his hands should be encased in gold! His staff takes the time to play with my 5 year old while I'm getting treated, and make him feel so comfortable, he always wants to come with me when I go! Highly-recommended!
Pros: kind, consistently feel fantastic
Cons: not really any

Professional and effective
by sammews
At least 20 visits at my "former" chiropractor and 20 at a physical therapist and I could barely lift my arm.
Six treatments from Doctor Halliday and I could pitch the All-Star Game. Amazing results, knows his stuff, and not a schister, either. You won't be disappointed.
Pros: Not a lifetime commitment (though I'll be back)
Cons: Small office, hard to see from Diversey

Not pushy like some chiropracters, but gets you fixed fast
by queenee
Coming from the burbs, I nneded to find a chiro to continue my treatments fast. I looked on a few sites and found Citysearch which recommended this great doctor just afew blocks from my house. Doctor Halladay is so much better than my last chiropracter (and thats saying alot because she was goooood). He doesn't push a ton of visits on me which I like because I don't have time for 30+ visits in a row. He just gets you fixed and says "come back now and then for a tune-up" or at the first sign of a problem.
Plus, I found Doctor Liu who is a wonderful acupunctuist. All in all, I'm a happy and healthy girl since I found Gutrich Chiropractic.
Pros: helpful, HONEST and really nice
Cons: a little walk from the train (not more then 10 minutes)

Doc has a great touch and kind demenor
by sandiso
Uhmmm...what can I say. Doc Halliday has been my chiro for almost 4 yrs and I feel very comfortable referring all of my family and friends to him. His staff is also warm and caring. I've had many aches and pain, spills and such and he's always gotten me through them. Hey! Chiropractic works! That's all folks!!
Pros: competent and nice, easy to park and pretty much no wait
Cons: none that I can think of
