4 Stars: Funky 70's vibe and home cookin' (by Joan J.)

This is a unique cafe with a nostalgic 70's vibe that is great fun for anyone that has even the foggiest memories of life in the 70's - and some 80's. The brunch menu is outstanding and lunch is very good as well - a mix of eclectic menu items and regular old standbys. Most of the menu is homestyle like meat loaf, hamburgers, etc. but in the recent years they've added more 'risky' flavors. It's a lot of fun to eat here, especially at an outside table in warm weather.

4 Stars: Nice brunch spot in Roscoe Village (by G. V.)

Sure, it's kitschy and cute, but the food is great. Chilaquiles to die for, especially if you had one to many cervezas the night before. On Valentine's Day they host a wonderful dinner with games and prizes, and a twinkie tiramisu that is too much fun.
And if you have to wait for a table, grab some coffee on the house and browse the neighborhood.

4 Stars: A funky cafe (by Kathleen K.)

After watching a Food Network special on this eatery, my husband and I had to check out Kitschn on Roscoe. It's a combo of homemade comfort food with a VH1 twist-- the cafe is filled with pop culture memorabilia, lunch boxes, toys, and board games. There's plenty to look at here while you wait for one of their delicious specialties. In all my travels, I've never seen twinkie tiramisu before-- it's a must try!

4 Stars: Fun and funky food (by Devon R.)

Kitsch'n -- what a blast! This is a great place to dine when you're in the mood for something different. They have an excellent brunch menu as well as an interesting dinner menu. The atmosphere is just as the name describes -- kitschy! You'll find all your favorite childhood toys and old-time TV shows playing on the old-time TVs. Their cocktail selection is marvelous -- be sure to check out their Tang martini! The best time to visit is in the warmer summer months -- the beer garden in the back of the restaurant is relaxing and provides the perfect summer night's fun.
