Great deal at Rockenbach Chevrolet! I went in on black friday and bought two cars from them. A new Silverado for me and a new Tahoe for my wife. The whole thing was great. They gave me the $6000 off of the price and gave us 0% interest. I talked to the general manager and asked about some of the review on the web. He had a great response. He said that there are a lot of dealerships that don't like the way Rockenbach Chevrolet discounts there vehicles and every time a happy customer post a review of what a great experience they had the other dealers write a bad review. I asked about not returning customers keys, because this did not happen to me. He said the manager always returns the keys to a customers for their trade. I really enjoyed our experience at Rockenbach Chevrolet and intend on returning. As for lilfitzy330 I think you must work at a car dealership, because they did honor the price and never kept our keys. Our experience was nothing like you described. \r

I went to Rockenbach Chevrolet to get a $99 car on black Friday. I was shocked to see how nice these cars were. They had about 15 cars that were very clean and appeard to run great. I got my $99 car and took it to my mechanic. He was shocked to hear about my purchase for $99. I really needed a vehicle badly. Thank you Rockenbach Chevrolet for selling me a vehicle and being honest. I will send all my family to see you. My sales person Jorge Miranda was a very nice person and did not try to talk me into any other car. He listened and understood.

I went to Rockenbach Chevrolet to get a $99 car on black Friday. I was shocked to see how nice these cars were. They had about 15 cars that were very clean and appeard to run great. I was told I had to buy used by the other dealers. The other dealerships told me what I could buy, but I was not happy with what they told me to buy. I did get a free $50 gift card from the other dealer, but that was all. When I pulled up to Rockenbach Chevrolet I told them what I wanted and they showed it to me. Everyone was very pleasant and knowledgeable. I was able to meet the general manager Mike Fullmer, who by the way looks like John Cusak. It was a little weird. The deal was better than any dealer I had shopped at. If you want to buy a car you want go see Mike Fullmer.\r

I have dealt with Rockenbach Chevrolet in Grayslake before when I bought my first car back in 1987. At that time the service was just ok, vehicles, and dealership as a whole. My husband and I were in the market for a new vehicle for him and were looking at several different vehicles by Honda, Toyota, and Chevy. Other dealerships were nice, but when we did the research on the Chevy Equinox, my husband fell in love with it. When I went to the dealership to do research for my husband, I met with Jeremy, and made it perfectly clear that I wasn't going to buy anything that day, and he respected that and gave me all the information I was looking for. He took me to the lot to look at all the Equinoxes. I explained what I liked and didn't like and told him that I would be bringing my husband in to look for himself, since the car was going to be for him. We came back a few days later to look again and while Jeremy wasn't available, his desk partner, Preston Mader was available. He took us back to look at the Equinox. My husband was absolutely impressed. We weren't planning on purchasing any vehicle that day, but when Preston went in to talk to the General Manager, they came right out with numbers for the vehicle and for my husband's trade-in, a number they came up with with not even looking at his trade. We knew we needed a car with a baby due any day so we talked about it and said if we can get a lower rate than 3.9% we would really consider. They shopped around for a better rate, and we were happy with the price, the monthly payments and the no-pressure nonsense that some dealerships give you. I usually dread going to a dealership because I know how some put the pressure on you to buy. "What do I have to do to get you in a new car today?" "What numbers would you like to see to buy this car today?" Things like that... I didn't feel like that at all at Rockenbach Chevrolet. I am a Honda girl, drive a Honda Civic and I love it, but the line up of vehicles that Chevy is putting out and the quality may make me switch back to a Chevy. Thanks Rockenbach Chevrolet for a great experience and an awesome vehicle. Jeremy and Preston were very helpful and kind to us and we will definitely consider Rockenbach in the future for any other vehicle needs

I had my first experience with the service center at Rockenbach Chevy last Saturday (Oct 23). I brought my car in for the paint protection and rust proofing package I bought with the car. \r

So I bring my car in and let them know Ill wait for it in the waiting room. Id brought a book so it was no big deal to me if it took a little while. While in the waiting room Jorge Miranda, who sold me the car, seen me sitting there and stopped over to make sure everything was ok since he just sold me the car a week before. This was pretty cool since every past experience I've had with buying a new car, once the sale was made the salesman dropped into a black hole somewhere. \r

While in the waiting room, I read my book and paid attention to how the service people treated the other customers. Everyone I seen was treated very well. \r
\r
One woman who only spoke Spanish was getting a price on new tires. She had her teenage son there translating for her. The service guy was very friendly to them and when they said they wanted to check around for other prices, he didnt try and hard sell them into buying the tires then and there. He told them if they got a better price to let him know and he would see if he could at least match it. \r
\r
There were several other incidents similar to the one with the Spanish woman. Every customer was treated with respect and seemed to walk away happy.\r

Unfortunately it was raining the day I brought my car in and they could not finish the rust proofing. So they told me they would give me a loaner car and finish my car Monday morning. I was 100% fine with that and told them Id pick it up after work Monday at around 6.\r

While I was in the service center picking up my car, Jorge seen me and stopped over to tell me he just sent me an email to ask what happened since he saw my car was in the shop over the weekend. Now that is good customer service! Jorge recognized MY car from a sale he made over a week ago, he took the time to stop by and make sure everything was ok AND he sent an email to make sure everything was fine. That is above and beyond for a salesman who already made is commission and finished his job.\r

So I just leave the lot when I notice that about 30 miles were added to the odometer. I thought it kind of odd that so many miles were added but I wasnt really concerned at all with it. \r
\r
So I got home and remembered that Jorge had sent me an email earlier and decided to reply to him to ask about the extra miles on the car. Keep in mind that I wasnt dissatisfied at all with the service Id received. In fact Ive been 100% satisfied with everything up to this point. Jorge replied to my email within an hour. The place they do the rust proofing is about 14 miles away from the dealership which explain everything. \r

If Jorge had not consistently put forth the effort to make sure that I was 100% satisfied I might have always wondered about those extra miles. But he did put forth that effort and I cant say enough good things about him and Rockenbach Chevrolet. My only regret is I didnt catch the names of the other people I dealt with in service.\r

In summary:\r
120% satisfied with Jorge Miranda my salesman.\r
100% satisfied with Rockenbach service center.\r
110% satisfied with how courteous Rockenbach has been with me and everyone else Ive seen.\r

I started my conversation with Rockenbach via the Internet, was given a price quote, and was led to believe they had vehicles on the lot that were close to the trim level and options I was looking for. I drove an hour to get to Rockenbach, only to find that there wasn't a vehicle anywhere close to what I was interested in-- and the salesman wanted to ""see if he could get me into"" a vehicle with a significantly higher price. I felt like the victim of a rudimentary bait-and-switch ploy.

To top things off, the sales tactics these guys used on me were almost laughable. When I first arrived, a person who I assumed was a sales manager handed me off to a salesman that, in his words, ""handles VIP customers"". I told these guys I had an almost 10-year old car to trade in, and they made a big deal about how that particular year and model of used car was in high demand and how they ""fly off the lot"". Yeah, right. Then the salesman tried setting me up by making a statement like, ""customers love cars in the $2000 range"", implying that they'd give me much less for the trade-in. I HATE sales tactics like this.

I called them out on the bait-and-switch, then walked out of the dealership. By this point, the sales manager had disappeared and the salesman was making excuses about why their inventory was so limited and their systems are so poorly maintained. Luckily I wasn't there very long.

I ended up going to Biggers Chevrolet in Elgin... WHAT A DIFFERENCE! The folks at Biggers didn't jack me around, treated me with respect, and I ended up getting what I feel is a great deal on a new 2011 Equinox. They also appraised my trade-in fairly.

Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY FROM ROCKENBACH Chevrolet!

I drove an hour to get to Rockenbach, only to find that there wasn't a vehicle anywhere close to what I was interested in-- and the salesman wanted to ""see if he could get me into"" a vehicle with a significantly higher price. I felt like the victim of a rudimentary bait-and-switch ploy.

To top things off, the sales tactics these guys used on me were almost laughable. When I first arrived, a person who I assumed was a sales manager handed me off to a salesman that, in his words, ""handles VIP customers"". I told these guys I had an almost 10-year old car to trade in, and they made a big deal about how that particular year and model of used car was in high demand and how they ""fly off the lot"". Yeah, right. Then the salesman tried setting me up by making a statement like, ""customers love cars in the $2000 range"", implying that they'd give me much less for the trade-in. I HATE sales tactics like this.

I called them out on the bait-and-switch, then walked out of the dealership. By this point, the sales manager had disappeared and the salesman was making excuses about why their inventory was so limited and their systems are so poorly maintained. Luckily I wasn't there very long.

I ended up going to Biggers Chevrolet in Elgin... WHAT A DIFFERENCE! The folks at Biggers didn't jack me around, treated me with respect, and I ended up getting what I feel is a great deal on a new 2011 Equinox. They also appraised my trade-in fairly.

Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY FROM ROCKENBACH Chevrolet!

I have read a lot of things about Rockenbach Chevrolet and its really hard to understand why people had such a hard time, but after shopping and finally purchasing a new Chevrolet I found that alot of things have changed. Rockenbach Chevrolet hired a new General Manager that has worked for Chevrolet for over 20 years. The sales and service personel are happy that there has been a change with the management. The service advisor explained to my wife and I that if we came in for service we would get a FREE Loaner. Even if it was just to change the oil. We met the sevice advisor Dan Nierman. Who seemed more excited that me about the purchase of my new vehicle. It was a great experience from the very begining. The internert manager told me that we would be in and out in under 1 hour. So I thought here is my opportunity to catch them in a lie. I told the interner manager that I would accept his challenge. When my wife and I got there we met the internet manager Mike Kuhn and after the initial greeting he handed me a stop watch that was counting down from 1 hour. I really knew he was serious. We ent through the process, it was smooth. My wife and I were all completed in 52 minutes. Rockenbach Chevrolet really has this process down. My wife and I spend the rest of the time talking to the salesperson who was genuinly concerned about my family. This was a shock after all the things that I had read about. I thought it was important for everyone to know that this is not the same store that I read about. Shop Rockenbach Chevrolet as see for yourself. Its a great place to buy. They really care about the customer.

I decided to visit this dealer, because my father was interested in a vehicle there. Bad idea! our experience there was like no other, the sales rep and manager where extremely rude to us. Maybe because my father is a little mexican man, and they automatically assumed that the car we viewed was ""out of our budget"" We never told how much we where willing to spend CASH! The manager flat out told us ""I don't care if your paying cash, to be honest I rather have you finance because that way we make more money"" WTF!Dont waste your time there because your money is not valued and appreciated.
