A friend recommended this place and I have done so also. I am not usually one to order ravioli but when I saw pumpkin - couldn't resist. Anything with pumpkin must be good - and it was. Suggested to my husband to add this flavor to our next homemade ravs. Save room for dessert and you won't be disappointed.

My husband and I have been going there for years and love it. The food is much better than other Italian restaurants we have tried (Maggiano's or Biaggi's). The menu does change from season to season, but if a favorite dish is not on the menu, they have offered to make it for us. My husband loves the pumpkin ravioli with balsamic cream reduction sauce. I think they have the best Eggplant Parmigana I have ever tried (not greasy and heavy like at some restaurants). A lot of the pasta is home-made (maybe all of it?) so is very tasty. We have tried just about everything on the menu and never been disappointed. It is a small place, but since we go on weekdays, that never is a problem for us because it is less crowded. I think this is a good restaurant for older kids, but since the place is small and somewhat intimate, not a place you want to bring a pack of kids for dinner. The tables are rather close together so you can bring the kids, but unless your children are really well behaved, you will probably disturb other customers.

What a find! Tucked a way in this strip mall you will find one of the finest dining experiences in the northwest burbs. Authentic, homemade, imaginative menu. Attentive staff, A chef who never stops moving. And incredibly tasty food. Will eat there often.

Amore Mio is exactly what you would expect from a neighborhood trattoria---if you were in southern Italy! The food here is always cooked to perfection and more authentic than anything else in the area. Family-owned, Amore Mio offers classic Italian dishes as well as unique specials which change weekly. The service at Amore Mio is consistently attentive and accomodating. The waitstaff is knowlegable and professional, but friendly rather than aloof or condescending. The ambiance is warm without being too crowded, and never too noisy to block out the beautiful melodies of Andrea Bocelli. If you dine at Amore Mio, which I implore you to do, take care not to miss their pumpkin ravioli, calamari fritti, or homemade tirimisu. For a more classic dish, their meat lasagna is impeccably balanced, so much so that my mom, who grew up in Italy, can't seem to beat it. (Don't tell her that!) My search for the suburbs' best Italian food ended the day I set foot into Amore Mio, and I will continue to return for many years!

Wow....this was great. Went to Amore Mio with my fiancé...this hidden Italian gem in Hoffman Estates is a true taste of the old country. The ambiance is really nice with great lighting beautiful colors, and a family friendly atmosphere. You are greeted by a friendly smile, and seated promptly. The staff is nice and brings over water, bread, and a tasty brochette appetizer. We started the meal of with a pear salad, this was one of the best appetizers I ever got, the taste buds truly light up......we continued with Mushroom stuffed raviolis, these were simply to DIE for, the pasta just melted in your mouth and they were good to the last drop.....I had lamb which was great and very filling, mi fiancé got Cranberry crusted trout, both were simply phenomenal........Chef Tony the owner came around to the table and greeted us all. the night was topped of with Bomba a home made Italian dessert....the atmosphere makes you feel as though one is in Italy,...........Service GREAT, Bathrooms VERY clean,.........food DEICIOUS.........I would say this was a GREAT dining experience at a very affordable price......Thank you Amore Mio
