My nephew had a pleasant experience with this curriculum. Well rounded yet flexible. Good program for intelligent children. Children seem to be smarter than most and learn quicker with their techniques.

Weekday Children's Center is a wonderful preschool that focuses on helping children be independent thinkers through play and socializing while exploring the many areas or art, science, manipulative's, stories, math and others. Children have freedom to make choices and learn through their own way of discovering with assistance from well educated teachers and staff. My oldest son who attended WCC just finished kindergarten and was more than prepared for the academics as well as the large classroom setting and directions given by his teacher. My youngest son will attend WCC this next fall and we are very excited to be going back. My mother who owned and directed a preschool in Ohio gives high praise to this school. WCC is a wonderful surrounding for children to grow and learn.

Weekday is a terrific play based preschool. The philosophy is really child-centered and focuses on treating each child as an individual. They are certainly firm about respecting each other and toys/etc., but they are also kind and loving. I believe that having an emotionally safe and supportive environment in the early years is crucial to fostering independent and confident children. And to me, preschool should mostly be about learning to be out in the world and having fun.

But since many do focus on academics, I will say that my older son completed two years of preschool at WCC and has just finished up kindergarten at a public school in district 203. He was in enrichment for both math and reading and won the award for having earned the most reading points out of all kindergarteners at his school. He just finished the sixth Harry Potter book (so I assume he is reading above grade level) and loves learning. And he is confident and happy.

My younger son attends WCC now and my daughter will as well unless we move out of state! I highly recommend WCC.

I am thrilled with WCC. It is exactly what you would dream of for early childhood education. It is child-centered and play-based so that kids are actively thinking and learning the entire time, without any of the seat work some of the so-called "academic" schools employ. My second son is currently enrolled in the preschool and he loves to go because each day is a new adventure for him with different themes, projects, and integrated stories, songs, and activities. He is able to choose from among all these great options, according to his interests and abilities. My older son also attended WCC and received such a solid foundation for thinking and learning that he is reading at a second-grade level and doing third grade mathematics after a year in kindergarten. The facility lacks some of the bells and whistles of some of the newer places, but has classic, quality toys and lots of space indoors and out. Children play outside everyday, weather permitting, and gain knowledge of nature and respect for the environment as well. WCC also provides childcare for preschoolers, kindergartners, and school-age children before and after school. The teachers and staff are excellent and WCC has stellar credentials and a long history in its convenient central Naperville location. I can??t sing WCC??s praises enough! Go visit and see for yourself!
