This is a company owned by two brothers John and Sean Folino that do poor work, then when customers write bad reviews they put up a bunch of good reviews to water them down. Overpriced and disrespectful. They refused to do my sweep for the agreed on $79 because I needed a new lining at the low low price of $3200. They told me it was unsafe for use. I had 3 more companies after them that found no issues. I reported them to BBB as well as CSIA and am awaiting a response.

Bogus Review -- Competitor?? replied on 08/02/09 This " Jim D" has put similar stuff up under different names. I am aware of any complaints that are pending from this guy with the BBB or CSIA. Jim, please respond with more detailsto validate your claim. This company is owned by Myself (Sean Folino) and brother Nick Folino.Overall satisfaction from Olde English Chimney Sweep in Berkeley, IL. Sean (owner) was out for an estimate within 1-day. Very reasonable as well, lowest estimate out of (3) other Chicagoland companies. Work was done within 1-week! Perfect job! Also, received (2) follow-up calls to insure all was going well! thanks! highly recommended!

I initally called OEC to have my chimney cleaned for use this winter. When Sean from OEC arrived and attempted to clean the chimney out he could'nt . The inside of the chimney (fire place) had clapsed and was threatening the itegrity of the boiler and water heater liner. Sean wrote-out-in-detail the work that needed to be done and itemized the cost for the work. No hard sells tactic encountered. I got two other estimates and OEC was the lowest of three. The other two CS co. had me in tears after reviewing their "estimated cost." the guys from OEC cleaned up during job and after the job was completed. I will continue to use them for future work and have recommeded them to others. Thanks OEC. U r great people.

Anyone who has to write their own reviews is suspect. Hummer lover and JohnFLjr are both associted with the company. On yahoo they left great reviews and it turns out they forgot that all someone has to do is click on their name and it shows their profile. Guess what?? Old English!! Surprise. Reviews are for customers!!

A neighbor referred Olde English Chimney Sweeps. They were everything I was told they would be. Neat, clean and courteous. To be honest, they weren't the least expensive quote but more importantly they took the time to explain the problem and gave me a couple options to choose from to correct my chimney issues. The scaffolding setup was really cool! If they would have been the least expensive I would have given 5 stars! :)
Pros: Responsive, left work area clean of debris, very knowledgeable

Fantastic customer and overall service! Highly recommended! Cheapest of (3) estimates. Owner was out within a day for estimate and work done within a week! (2) follow-up calls to make sure all was going well! and it was! Received many compliments about my new gas logs! thanks olde english! I also recommended Olde English to my family and friends!

This guy with the negative review is insane. He posted elsewhere and under different names that we ripped him off. How did we rip him off if he was angry at the timeliness of receiving the quote and no money was ever exchanged??? This is a crazy time of year for our company and any other company in the fireplace and chimney business. We tried apologizing to him for the delay and he continued to make harassing phone calls to the office in crazy rants and using profane language to the office staff. Way out of line. I feel bad for the company that he does hire to do the work.

I had a big job for this company to do. I waited a week and a half for a quote that NEVER came. When I called to ask why I never got the quote, their foreman basically told me I had to much time on my hands because I called to complain that I never got a quote . This is the worst company. DO NOT USE THEM-TROUBLE
