BEWARE!! BEWARE!! BEWARE!! They have very friendly people, but that's where it stops. I want a business I can trust to do good work and have integrity when doing business with me and my family. Two examples: I was deployed to Afghanistan for a year and my wife goes in for some work. By the time they were done, they had charged her over 1500 dollars for work that didn't need to be done. On top of that, they did a bad job and I had to work out a fix from Afghanistan calling the manager. Fast forward a year after I get back. My wife goes in to have the fuel pump recall fixed. While they did that, they wrote up things that needed fixing. They came up with 2600 dollars of stuff that needed done. I was a mechanic before I came into the military. I checked all the stuff they claimed needed to be done. MOST of the very expensive stuff did not need to be done. The parts were in perfect condition. On top of that, when they checked the cabin filter, they didn't even bother to put the tabs back in to hold it from opening completely up. I don't know if they take advantage of unsuspecting women (very old stereotype....my daughter works on her own cars and does a darn good job) or they do it to everyone. They are out to rip you off anywhere they can and they do horrible work in doing it. DO NOT GO HERE. I won't even bring my cars in there now for free recalls.

I have bought several Honda's from Meyer Honda and have had a great service both during the purchase and after the purchase. My family has also bought several Hondas from here. Joe (salesman) has always treated us well. They also have a 1st class service department.

I have never seen anybody come through the door of Meyer Honda and not be greeted and well taken care of, and for the people who don't like Kay Baby as the commercials quit sniveling, you do meet the nicest people in a Honda and at Meyer Honda we as a family have been buying new and used cars from them for over 20 years, any issues I have ever had get resolved "always" I highly recommend Meyer Honda.

Save yourself time and money. Don't go to this dealership. The will try to rip you off. Here is the experience I just had with them: We were traveling across the country and got stuck in the bumper to bumper traffic trying to cross the river into East Saint Louis when we noticed steam coming out of the hood and the thermostat was starting to go up. We pulled off as soon as we got to the other side of the bridge. The radiator and the coolant reservoir were empty. We had our car towed to Meyer Honda. We checked the oil to make sure that no coolant had gotten into the oil from a leaking head gasket and found this was not the case. After the service guys looked at the vehicle they came back and said that the head gasket was blown and that the headers would have to be re-bored. They said it would cost at minimum $1650 and that it would probably be more depending on the machine shop's price. After calling our mechanic who said he could do all the things that Meyer Honda was saying needed to be done for less than half that we decided to tow the car the last 800 miles. After having the mechanic look at the car it turns out the only problem with the car was that the fan had been unplugged and that the radiator had gotten so hot that most of the coolant boiled out. After plugging the fan back in and running the car for 4 hours the car never overheated. The diagnostics cost us $20. So rather than being ripped off we just lost $400 in renting the car dolly and extra gas. Long story short don't waste your money with this shady business!!! After six months we still have not had a single problem with this vehicle.

I am in the market for a new car and would like to buy a highly rated vehicle but thanks to these reviews I won't be buying any products from Myers honda no matter how highly rated the vehicle manufacturer is.

sounds like honda needs to do some housecleaning. I currently drive a honda and I'm satisfied with my vehicle but would definitely not go to Meyer Honda to buy or get repairs. Obviously most of the staff at Meyer Honda are the ones that give car salemansdealers a bad name. If they want return customers they really need to try to work with their customers not make them feel violated.

Wanda, sorry you left feeling violated. Please let us know what or how we could have made things better for you. I started here 18 years ago, most of our salespeople have been here 15 to 30 years......We have built a great reputation with our repeat and referrals over the years...That is why we have all stayed, because of our customers.

I purchased a used vehicle in the evening of jan 6 2011 and for the most part was pleased with the service I received. On monday jan 10 while driving the vehicle in the snow I wasn't happy with the way it handled so i called my salesman (joe) on tues and told him i wasn't happy with the vehicle and i would like to bring it back and buy a new one. joe stated i understand come back in and we will work something out. So on wednesday we drove to meyer (60 miles) and told joe we were wanting to get a new crv. we test drove the crv and decided that we wanted it. we paid $15900 on jan 6th and they offered us $13700 (3 buisness days later) trade in on a new vehicle that they expected me to pay the sticker price on($24425). needless to say i felt violated. joe stated you can't expect not to take a loss on the vehicle but i was going to lose $3600 dollars (taxes, license, processing fees) in 3 days that is pretty hard to swallow. joe stated it really isn't that much you just got to look at the numbers the bottom line is if i would have bought the crv on thurs i could have walked out the door with it for around 24900 instead it will now cost me 28000. i felt i was treated like i just walked in the door and tried to trade in a vehicle, forget that i just bought this vehicle there 3 days earlier and they were trying to get the best deal they could. when i called joe he made it sound like it wasn't a big deal he said i want to make you happy. i kept the used vehicle and i will keep it now for a while. so much for keeping customers happy i understand taking a loss but i really did feel like i was being treated unfair. i definately won't buy another vehicle there and i plan on telling everyone i know looking for a vehicle not to go to meyer honda unless you want to throw away your money. i will chalk this up to another life lesson learned

I was told that the faulty brake pads on my 09 Accord would be replaced under warranty. When I arrived for the appointment they reneged and tried to charge $185 (PER AXEL!!) to replace the brake pads that are faulty due to a manufacture defect. I will never return to this dealership and caution others.

We had our CRV serviced at Meyer. They charged us $50 for the labor to replace the cabin air/dust filter. When I got home I found a youtube video on the subject and saw that this job could be accomplished in about 5 minutes and didn't even require tools. Now I feel like a tool for going there....

My husband and I went to Meyer to look for a 2010 Accord. We roamed around the parking lot for about 10 minutes, then went into the showroom. Not only did no one greet us (the receptionist just looked up and then went back to whatever she was doing), but the salespeople stood around talking to each other while we walked around with lost looks on our faces. When we finally got a salesperson's attention, we asked a question and his response was that he'd just gotten back from vacation and didn't know what was available. In this economy, I can't believe that they think that the cars will sell themselves...We are no longer considering a Honda and even if we are in the future, we won't buy it from Meyer.

I am sorry for your experience. We hear either we jumped on the customers to quick, or not quick enough. We try to be as little pressure and let you look as posslible.

I bought a certified used car recently with only 20% of the back brake life left, then the payments they "set up" didn't go through. I was late on the first payment due to the carelessness of the financial dept and I had to pay for new brakes before I even made my first payment. When we contacted Meyer to inquire about the brakes we were simply told that they aren't covered on the warranty. Hmmmm. I even discussed the situation with other Honda dealerships and they completely disagree with the way Meyer handled it, to even sell a car in that condition and mark it certified.

This dealer advertises itself as a dealer with most of the same salespeople the place has had for years. A reasonable assumption is that the dealership treats its salespeople well meaning a high enough cut of sales to keep them from moving around. That and the fact that it is a small town and people just naturally like working close to home. Well, guess who pays for keeping the salespeople happy? My experience with this dealer is limited to one shopping experience. What I can say is that the salepeople are quite friendly and they treat you pretty good overall.

I've purchased one used and one new vehicle from this dealership. Both times, their sales team was outstanding. They give high dollar for trade-ins. For the purchase of our new Element EX, the paperwork portion of our visit was THE MOST painless experience I've ever had. I've purchased around 5 new cars in my lifetime and never have I experienced such an enjoyable financing of ~$14k. I highly recommend this dealer.

PROS: Customer Service, Vehicle Knowledge
CONS: None that I can come up with.
