30 years ago this was a decent place to go. Now not so much. I was last there in 2012 and the place was dirty and the food horrible. Never go back.

I've been getting their pizza since I moved to Lagrange park, that was 15 years ago, and I have yet to find a place that has better thin crust pizza...the best around. I think the key was that when the original owners passed on, the new

Cute, casual restaurant. There's a small bar and a few tables to dine in at, and they do a fabulous take out or delivery pizza and really excellent menu items. I stop by when ever I'm in town.

Best pizza in town. The pasta is also tops. This is the place to go for a sit down dinner with the family, or a meal on the run. The people who work there are very friendly?I highly recommend for people who like pizza and Italian food.

Ever since Santucci's (near Midway airport) closed, this has been the best place for thin crust pizza around. A perfect cracker crust and wonderful homemade sausage is what makes Alex and Aldo's so great (if only they made their pizzas rectangular like Santucci's!). Now that a new owner has taken over, the pizza is not quite as great (the sauce is a little too heavy these days), but it is still fantastic. However, if you go on a Friday or Saturday night, Aldo may be in the kitchen making the pizza like it was when he and Alex ran the place. Go before he's gone, you won't regret it. Chicago (and the suburbs) ain't just deep dish.

Pros: Inexpensice, relaxed, perfect pizza

I know Alex and Aldo's has a loyal following, but I never could learn to like their food. Their sauces tend to be brown and salty, like gravy as opposed to red sauce. I have tried their pizza's a few times and found it dry and tasteless. The people are nice and they live near my residence so I've tried to enjoy their food, but I guess it's not for me.

I've had their pizza for over 45 years, even when they were with Johnny's on 31st.

An alternative to glossy chain establishments, this mainstay serves its pizza in a refreshingly no-frills setting: straight-backed wooden booths, hanging stained-glass lighting and beer-sign decor. Little leaguers and…
