Disagree.  4 Star Rating - Very good

You honestly want sympathy for injuring your foot? Give me a break. I broke my arm recently and came to Dr. Newman expecting treatment, not sympathy.

I did not have health insurance at the time, and Dr. Newman was kind enough to not charge me for the two times he put casts on me ($1200+). While he didn't comfort me like I was a child with a bad boo-boo, I got thorough care and was treated with respect.

The cast technician, Fred, might be one of the nicest people I've met in the healthcare industry also.

Terrible Bedside Manner  2 Star Rating - Wouldn't recommend

I used to go to this place all the time to get my foot inuries looked at. I'm a runner, and as most runners will tell you, we are the proactive type who want to find a solution to our foot problems. But at Midwest Orthopaedics you will get no sympathy or consolation.

Most of the doctors at this place, especially one Dr. Newman, have some of the worst bedside manners I've ever known. They make it feel like it was your fault for being a runner and getting injured. The technicians they have to make the orthotics vary widely in their skill in developing accurate inserts for your feet. And, God forbid, if you are an HMO patient! They really make you feel unwelcomed.
