I was not impressed with Raging Rivers what so ever. The prices of food ect. is WAY over priced. I bought a small water and fries and i spent $13.00? The rides are not that entertaining if you're looking for a thrill or an adrinaline rush. My friend and I had to exit the wave pool twice because someone pooped in the pool and staff/managers had to get it out. I was not impressed what so ever. This place is mainly for young children. 2 main rides? It's really not as good as they make it out to be. If you're going to go anywhere: GO TO SIX FLAGS, they have an amazing park and water park is GREAT! and free! Six flags is definately worth the money!

My daughter and I took two of her children and two other kids to Raging Rivers in July 2010. We were delighted to find all the usual water park attractions efficiently and beautifully placed in a location literally across the road from the Mississippi River. Our experience was positive in every single way. We were impressed with the management (managers were on site and in view), the cleanliness, the food, everything was perfect! We will definitely be back.

Made my 7 year old sister pay adult price! Having tubes out for rental is a rip-off, food is a rip-off, must pay for lockers, out in the middle of no where and you expect me to drop 150 dollars for 2 children and a little girl?
I am telling my whole family not to bother with this park that smells like a cow paddy field (nearby).

Not a bad park if you can get there on a day when it isn't crowded. Hard to do, but I went on a day that was somewhat cloudy which seemed to deter people from going. Good for family/kids, not so much adults, they only have 4 "big" rides. They have a double set of curly cue slides that you can ride with an inner tube or without, a "runaway raft" ride which is not that lengthy, a "swirl pool" slide which I think is the funnest thing to do in the park: You go down a slide and slide out into a huge funnel, circle around and then drop into a pool. They also have a lazy river and a small wave pool, a water-playground for kids and a very small shark slide which I didn't even bother to do. Basically this is a park aimed mainly at families. Not saying I didn't have fun, but for the high price (even with a coupon), the long drive to an isolated little town in Illinois, and paying for parking AND locker space, I think next time I'll just go to hurricane harbor at Six Flags. Also - don't let their cartoon map fool you, it makes the park look MUCH larger than it actually is. If you want an inner tube for the wave pool that will cost you $4 to rent. Park is also VERY "hilly", so if you can't do hills you will not like this.

We bought season passes this year and are there most nice days. We love it, I have kids aged from 13 to newborn and everywhere inbetween. There is something to do for everyone. It truly is a great park!

We go to Raging Rivers every year. We never go without a coupon - usually we get them from my mom. They come in the weekly shopper newspaper (buy 1 get 1 free). It's not huge, but we always manage to spend the majority of the day there. They have 5 slides, 2 "toilet bowls" (the actual name is swirl pool), a lazy river, wave pool, play area for the babies, and the "tree house". We always pack some lunch meat & chips (so you don't have to buy lunch). They do have tube rentals, but the rides that require tubes have them there to use. Only the wave pool doesn't have tubes for you to take in. We never rent them. I think it's a hassle to have to lug them around all day. You do have to pay for parking & locker rentals.

We have been riding the Grafton Ferry over to Raging Rivers for about 5 years now. Our whole family gets together and we even
plan it around our Chicago cousins. It is great fun and never too crowded that it's not enjoyable. Prices are reasonable and there's something for every age. We love our annual tradition!

Raging Rivers is a fun place with a variety of things to do for younger kids. The teens are active for the first portion of your stay and then they are ready to call it a day. The main issue that I have is the fact that you pay to park, pay to enter the facility, pay for the tubes, pay for the locker - YOU FEEL LIKE YOU PAY TO TURN AROUND!!!! Expensive even with coupons.

Yes, Raging Rivers can sometimes be very crowded (especially when there are busloads of daycare kids that come in and spoil the day)--but if you get there early and have one of the coupons that are all around town during the summer---its worth the trip. If you go geocaching, there's some nice spots worth stopping for along the River Road!

Located on the bluffs of the Mississippi River, Raging Rivers is a mid-sized water park in a great location. The River Road that goes from Alton up to Pere Marquette state park is beautiful. When you get on the big water slides at the top, it looks like you might go straight into the Mississippi. My son's favorite ride is unofficially called the "toilet bowl" as it sorta seems like that as you go down. Can be expensive---but check locallly in the St. Louis area--there's always coupons. For little kids, they have a special little section. Bring a lunch in a cooler--alot cheaper that way--they have picnic area outside.

Overlooking the Illinois River on the Great River Road, this is a great family-oriented water park. The Breaker Beach seems to be the favorite attraction for everyone. It starts as a large calm pool, with people swimming and relaxing on rentable tubes. For the small children that cannot fight those four foot waves, is Itty Bitty Surf City , with small pools, little slides, tunnels, and a rain tree. Treehouse Harbor offers a playland for the young and young at heart. It resembles a large treehouse and has a variety of ropes and levers that will activate water shooting out of different areas, water guns, slides and tunnels. My favorite attraction is the Endless River . It is your typical lazy river, with a few twists and turns. The Shark Slide shoots you into a shark mouth followed by forty-five feet of flume into a pool at the end. Runaway Raft is a bit more exciting. It offers a series of three small flumes totaling six hundred feet with catch pools in between. This park may not appeal to older teens because it does not have any real rip-your-suit-off daredevil-type water slides. But it is perfect and safe for younger kids.Truly I think you and your family will have a blast at this inexpensive water park just remember to pack your sunscreen.

Though typically crowded with unsupervised children, Raging Rivers is still a nice refuge on a hot, summer day. Enjoy floating in the lazy river or jumping the waves with the whole family.
