This is one store where I actually feel good when I spend more money. The funds go to support the nearby Children's hospital. You can really get some amazing deals here on used items. When I went there were some classy clothes and quality pieces of furniture. Parking is a hassle though.

PROS: Goes to a good cause
CONS: Parking can be rough

This is a very good resale shop that has everything you could want. There are suits, shoes, shirts, dresses, you name it. Vintage clothing is also available, along with some more contemporary stuff. Come here to put together a cool outfit, or to accentuate your whatver your current style happens to be.

this store accepts donations and sells clothes, furnitures, dishes, books... to raise funds for HIV/Aids care and gay and lesbian services. everything is used but in good condition and rather cheap. the quality of the articles varies a lot from week to week but it's possible to dress there (pants, t-shirts, skirts....) for cheap and even to find nice furniture for less than $50.

Not only can you find some pretty nifty vintage clothing, furnite, cds, and even record albums, but proceeds from your purchase go to benefit the Howard Brown Heath Center. Try this great spot or one of their other many locations througout Chicago.

PROS: Proceeds go to charity
CONS: Not always such great stuff.

Here's a chance to find a bargain and help a good cause, the firght against AiDS. This shop has just about everything you need to set up house and home and to outfit yourself. You name it, from records to art to clothing and bic-a-brac, the Brown Elephant is a must stop. Items are clean and displayed well in various departments throughout the store. Stock turns over frequently.

PROS: Large Variety of Merchandise
CONS: Can be pricey
