Natural Gourmet

Natural Gourmet is a little store specializing in vitamins/minerals and organic/natural foods. The owner's wife always helps up find what we're looking for, it's almost like she knows *exactly* what's on every single square inch of her shelves--it's very useful to us.

They are friendly and will order specialty items for you--another plus, and they even have a little fresh diner in the back for customers if you can't wait to get home for a healthy sandwich.

The only drawback is the lack of space in the store and that some organic foods are generally more expensive, but overall, it is worth the price for healthy living and a great place to get vitamins/organic foods, like cereals, chips, soymilk, frozen organic dinners, and a ton more healthy things.

Natural Gourmet has a great variety of prepackaged items for the vegetarian. It is the only place in town were we can find Beef-Not from Dixie's Diner, which I am happy to have a local supply of! Sometimes, they are out though and we have to wait until they get their next shipment and lately they have only had a limited selection, namely only turkey-flavor, not beef. The majority of their products seem to be health products like supplements and natural cures, which I am not interested in at all so a great portion of the store is not of any use to me. I like to look at their snack foods and refrigerated items but find them WAY too pricey for me. I shop mostly in their bulk section, which I find to be a good deal price-wise. The counter people are friendly and the store i generally clean and well-lit. The aisle are a little cramped.

PROS: Good bulk section
CONS: store a little cramped space-wise
