THIS PLACE IS ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. NEVER and I mean NEVER bring ANYTHING HERE. I had the exact same experience as the two previous posts. They fixed my $200 camera once, gave me an estimate after I gave them money and I ended up paying $200 to get it fixed.

They gave me a sh*tty warranty that says they'd fix it within the next three months. I had the same problem after two months and the MF-er had the audacity to say I had to pay him $95 just to get them to take a look at the problem! I also believe this business is run by scam artists. I would NEVER recommend bringing my camera here. I will do everything in my power and the power of social media to make sure that consumers are informed of their extremely poor business practices.

I had the exact same experience as the prior poster. Brought in a projector and payed $75 for an estimate. Came back with $250 labor estimate, but said that the estimate didn't include parts and they weren't sure how much parts would cost or what was broken. Doesn't sound like an estimate to me.

I think this place is run by scam artists.

Mid State Camera has totally ripped me off!!! This is a terrible place to bring your camera! DON'T GO HERE! They are unprofessional and I personally believe...unethical.

I was told that in order to know how much my repair would cost, I would have to pay $10 for an estimate. I paid hesitantly and came back; they told me it would cost me $100, for labor. Since I loved my $500 digital camera, I decided that the labor was worth it.

HOWEVER, when I came back, they said they needed parts but they didn't know how much parts would cost until they completely took apart the camera, which they said was their labor. So they charged $100 to my credit card and took apart my camera.

Well, how convenient for them...they just found out that parts would cost over $200.

I could have bought a new camera! Instead I'm leaving with pieces of my old digital camera and $110 wasted!

Why charge someone an estimate fee if you can't even give them an accurate estimate. If they said in the beginning that repairing my camera would cost me anywhere from $100-$300 (even with a $200 bubble), I would have felt more informed and less cheated than I do now!

And I certainly would have been able to make a more informed decision!
