NEVER EVER EVER order from here. They don't include everything you order but sure enjoy charging you for it. The stuff they do include is very small portions and undercooked. If you call to complain about these things they refuse to do

I wouldn't serve this food to my dog.....nor would he probably eat it. Lets start with the fact we walked into an empty diner......the fact I didn't piece it together then is probably half my fault. Anyways, our waiter was pretty much impossible to understand, he talked to fast like he had something else to do (which clearly he didn't, unless it was maybe the guy jockeying the register...strong possibility). We placed our order and waited probably 30/40 minutes for our meal....this is when it got hilarious. The omelet looked and I'm told tasted like the raw organ of a donkey. I ordered a burger, it came on a bun with cheese.......that's it. One of the other breakfast orders came with 3 miniture bratwursts passed off as sausage links. Our waiter, while completely negligent, didn't even respond to "where the f*ck is our waiter at???" Oh.....and four of us dined here for $56. This establishment is good......good for me to poop on, because I'm pretty sure that's what they did to our plates.

I bid you good morrow.

Pros: Didn't find any.

Cons: Most of my dining experience.

I have been going to Horizon for years, even back to when it was Mike's broadway cafe, but the current incarnation of this place is by far the best. The owner Nick and his family- Stella, John and brother Nick are wonderful people who truely care about their customers and business. They have become like a second family to me. The food is great. They have a diverse menu, and serve breakfast all day. The soups are made by Nick's dad John, and are made fresh daily. The service is wonderful (I have my diet coke when I sit down now). If you want a great upscale diner experience with owners who care, this is the place for you.

Cons: parking in the area

I have tried to order breakfast there many times, but they just don??t know how to cook it. The hash browns are awful, usually sitting on the back of the burner until they are not edible. They also don??t know how to cook bacon. The manager is not the least bit interested if your food is cooked correctly or not. Additionally, their prices are very high.

If you want a good breakfast, go across the street to IHOP. You'll get much better food for several dollars less.

This is a great diner! Its family owned and operated, and they will recognize you and greet you warmly after just a couple of visits. The food is also great and you get a lot of it for the money!

Everything is nice about this place. The staff are great! I've never had anything but awesome service there. They are always smiling and friendly at the door/register and the servers all have a positive vibe. The menu has great options for each meal. It's diner food, so if you want the best gourmet meal ever, this isn't the place. If you want good, filling, comfort food then this is it. I used to live in New York and would do the diner thing all the time - this place is better. You will never see the bottom of your coffee cup or glass without someone offering you more (I'm all about the drink refills). The portions are big so you'll leave either satisfied or stuffed. It's a small space but not cramped. The facilities are clean. Every time I go there I'm happy, never disappointed, and always wanting to go back.
Also of note, one time we wen there a rather intoxicated/psychotic/both person started banging on the window and once he got my attention proceeded to start doing all sorts of gross things (I won't elaborate). When I ignored him, he kept banging on the window. The staff IMMEDIATELY came over and put down the blinds. The person attempted to enter the cafe and they stopped him at the door and would not let him enter. It wasn't a big scene, they weren't rude to him, but they handled it. My fiance and I felt much better. I thought they handled it very well. "Off" people are everywhere and no one can prevent stuff like that, but they stopped it from becoming a really uncomfortable experience and I think it deserves kudos.

Pros: great staff, service, food

Cons: when you enter, the register is right there, so sometimes a little croweded, expensive side dishes

Horizon Cafe is a great place for a good meal without all the frills. It's a fun, casual place to take friends and sit and chat for hours in one of it's big booths. It's chicken and orzo soup may not sound like much, but it is both delicious and award winning! The price is right too. You won't be disappointed.

Their breakfast is the bomb. Order the omlet (it comes fixed to order); and you will receive fruit for free. Also, if you add meat to your breakfast; it will fill you up for hours. Don't order the canadian bacon, though; cause it is very small for the price they charge.

Their watermelon plate is huge; you get a slice of watermelon that is a fourth of the whole melon. This place is across the street from my church; and I go past there and get the watermelon to go in the summer. I take it home; and it is always sweet and good. The pancakes and french toast here is wonderful as well; don't need any meat; is fill by itself. Definitely worth stopping in to eat at; they also have a non-smoking section.

I've only been here for breakfast, but I've never been disappointed. Big, fluffy omelets are so tasty (I loved the feta and spinach) and pancakes are moist. The service here is great and the price is right.
