The staff is very honest and friendly here! This is one of the best autobody shops in the city.. Its convenient to get to and they do a thorough job.. their waiting room is really clean and comfortable unlike some other places where you feel gross just sitting there! They offer shuttling services too which is nice!

I registered on Yelp just to write this review. I've had horrible luck with cars over the past few years (3 accidents + 3 other major repairs on 3 different vehicles) so I've visited West Loop more than anyone should have to visit an Auto Repair shop. Despite the awful circumstances each time I've had to go there, the folks at West Loop have been nothing but spectacular. Its great to be able to deal with a place that takes care of things quickly and professionally with no drama. They even have an Enterprise rental car on site. This is officially 'my car place' now.

I give West Loop Auto Body a 10 for the great service they provided. The Staff there was very polite and professional. I will definitely be using their services again. It is hard to find a good shop now a days.

I went to this shop because a friend told me they knew someone who went there and had work done and said it was reasonable and great quality. I normally just go where my family goes for service but let me tell you, they blew me out of the water. The customer service I received was like nothing I ever experienced. The staff was beyond welcoming and offered me so many options for repairing my truck. Demetrius, Raymond, and Ryan were like my old friends. So then I felt ok if their this good something must be up, maybe the repairs were mediocre or something but was I surprised. They made my old truck look like it was showroom quality again. I had 3 previous estimates to repair all my old dents and rust ranging from $5000-$6000. I was told how much of a difficult job it would be and it would take at least a month to complete by the other shops. West Loop not only got it done in 2 1/2 weeks but for $4000. I was astounded I must say. Superior quality and very reasonable who wouldn't want that. Unfortunately my wife had a run in with a dumpster so I'll definitely be back sooner than I thought, she must be in cahoots with them lol. West Loop keep rockin !!!!

I recently took my car to West Loop Auto body. I have used them a number of times in the past years. As always the work was great. Demetrius and Carlos took the time to walk me through the work that would be done to my car. It took a little longer than projected because State Farm wanted to use replacement parts that did not fit and then they had to order OEM parts. The color match on the paint was great. I was in a front end collision and after about two weeks from picking up the car the horn stopped working. Took it back and they replaced the horn bling state farm for the repair - which state farm paid. I will definitely continue to use West Loop Auto Body in the future

OK, We've had our car for about five months now and though we bought it used with a lot of miles. But we've never had any trouble with it at all. All of a sudden out of the blue it would just die when driving it down the street. Worst part about it, is it would stop at around 50 mph So it wasn't like I could just pull over. It was always on the express way or Lake Shore Drive.
I took it to an auto shop on the north side which shall remain nameless. They took my car for three days and charged me almost $1,000.00 for all of these readjustments that they supposedly made. One week later, It died again. Someone we met refered us to West Loop Auto and told us they had a good experience there. We went there expecting to shell out another $1,000 and lose our car for another half a week.
They found the issue (apparently a minor one) in about an hour and fixed it for under $150
My experience with them was brief and I didn't learn all that much about them, but I could tell they were honest and not way over priced

I gotta say, these guys are the best in my world. My Subaru needed to pass inspection. For 6 months I'd been trying to get the check engine light off. Kept taking it to the same guy who kept ripping me off and not fixing the problem. Then tried Midas, who said they could fix it- for 2k (new catalytic converter needed). Time was running out- needed my emissions sticker and no prayer of finding 2k. Wandered by West Loop, explained what was going on, and lack of cash. They fixed it well enough to pass inspection, charged me $200, AND cleaned the car inside and out! Hallelujah! The mechanic even came out to explain exactly what he had done so that I understood it. What a nice change from the thief I had been seeing before. In the end, I still need anew catalytic converter (check engine light eventually came back on) but when I do scrape the money together I will bring it to West Loop, who has earned my loyalty (and told me they'd charge nmore like 1k for the catalytic converter).

Just picked up my car from West Loop on S. Morgan and it was great. One minor item at final inspection but they had me wait about 15 minutes and took care of it with no hassle. Final bill matched the estimate and the special ""pearl"" paint was also a perfect match. It was ready when they said it would be and everyone was friendly and attentive.
The only small gripe was that it seemed like the estimator wanted to include some stuff I didn't really need (I was paying out of my own pocket) but he let me watch the screen as he prepared it and explained each item and answered my ""why"" questions so I avoided that extra cost.

Like Melek, I also had a bit of a tricky situation, but the guys at West Loop Auto Body saved me! I swear I am not an idiot, but was having a rough morning and accidentally locked my keys inside my car. While it was running. A locksmith told me that it would cost me $180 to come out and open up my car. So I called West Loop Auto Body and somebody was there within 15 minutes and didn't charge me anything to open up my door! Nice guys. And I've talked to a couple of people in the neighborhood who have also had positive experiences here.

Had my car for two weeks ... brand new ... ruby red toyota ... damn valet bangs it into a wall ... grrrrrrrrrr ... West Loop turned a very miserable experience ... into a positive ... I was very concerned about the car color ... Drew, the owner showed me their state of the art paint computer which mixes the paint to the exact specs of the manufacturer ... no guessing ... it matched perfectly ... yeah ... And as an added bonus I received a beautiful red rose to match my car ... great service, great professionals ... highly recommend them ... esp for women ... Deb

Listen, this place will give you the service that you can afford. Meaning if your budget is tight and the insurance won't pick up the cost, then let them know and they will give you some short cuts and cheaper options. Point blank, not many worthwhile body shops out there so be aware.

I drive a Toyota and my dealer Grossinger referred me to West Loop. I am very attached to my car and from the start the fine people at West Loop treated me great. They are really a reflection of good business. They worked well with my insurance and cleaned up my car nice for me. When I got it back they explained everything they did and told me about the warranty. I would go there again.

After an unfortunate encounter with a tight parking garage, we had a serious scrape that needed to be repaired. We worked with Ryan and he was incredibly helpful- faxes quotes when and where we needed them and worked with us to keep the price under the insurance threshold. Then, as the work was being performed they found additional damage that they photographed, e-mailed, and clearly explained what needed to be done and what the cost would be. And best of all, they had the car done in the time they said it would be done in. Everyone at the shop was really polite and helpful. Hopefully we won't have to come back, but if we ever need any work done, West Loop is the first place we'll go.

I had a car accident in Aug 2008 on my 5 month old HONDa Accord with just 5000 miles on it and took my cars after reading good reviews from these websites.

To be honest the work done by any professional is determined in a long run or after a few weeks. The work done by them was in Aug end and today is 1st nov. The body work which they did has rust on its edges.. and also on the back of my trunk now a new problem is there.. raining in chicago for the last few weeks. I get water in my trunk.. I took my car to 2 dealers they both say the job done was not rite.. and now warranty can not cover this..

Water in a trunk give me a break.. rust on a job which was done llike a few months back.. Please think again. I know these guys have enterprise car rental at their facily and good waiting area.. BUT r we getting our car fixed or looking for these things.. I read reviews many times before buying thngs.. But i was misguided by good reviews abt this place.

My experience is very similar to the other person I noted that rated this place. I can't begin to tell you how horrible the whole experience was. Everything the previous person before me said applies and I have more. I finally got my car back after a very long wait. They had not even repaired the rear end of my car. There are so many mechanical issues with my car, it rattles when I drive it, it groans when I turn right, left or stop. It makes the loudest grinding noise that it hurts my ears when I first take off. It is a BMW with 50,000 miles and I never had any problems before. Now it is a piece of junk, and the auto body shop says that it is wear and tear on my car. The people there are 100% incompetent. Don't put yourself through going to this place. Nothing of this transaction ended up good for me. Even the brand new hood on the car was on TWISTED, they couldn't even get brand new parts on correctly. Allstate was the insurance of the other driver and they sucked too. Both sides say, its wear and tear on your car, I think they were in bed together. Funny, the two cars before this I drove for 250,000+ miles and never had any issues whatsoever. Now I have a premium car that is known for how long it lasts, and I have "wear and tear" on parts that I have never had to touch on autos with 250,000+ miles!

MY FINAL WORD IS "WORST NIGHTMARE I EVER HAD", A VERY EXPENSIVE CAR RUINED IN THE HANDS OF DISHONEST, INCOMPETENT , HORRIBLE AUTO BODY SHOP.

I had a car accident last year. And I found this place because it is close to my office. My bad experiences with this auto body shop are as follows:
1. Never on time. The whole repair process last for three months instead of half month as agreed when I checked in. Even when they push back the pick up date, they never call me in advance to inform me I don't need to go at that day.
2. Very Bad custom service. The front desk girls who answer the phonecalls and do some paper work when you check in have no patient. It is like you own something to them and you are the repair crew and they are the custom. It is just not right. The guy in manager level is the same thing. Everytime he agrees to call me for checking something for me in next day. He never did!!!
3. The finished work is not acceptable. The final day which I went to pick up my car(I already started to prey let this experience over), I found out that the engine check light in the front panel is still on. And my car's logo in the front is still missing. I was so mad.
4. The extimating cost for this repair is keeping up as the process goes. From the original around $6000 to around $9000 final, which exceeds my car market value already(about $7500). When I asked why you guy didn't recommend this car is totaled when I first ask for professional idea, they just "smiled" back to me. My insurance is a good one. But they had to pay extra money to settle down this accident because of their estimate.
I would strongly recommend not to go to this place. It will end up like a nightmare.
Thanks. And wish you the best.
