This legendary Italian Steakhouse serves the finest prime, aged steaks and chops in a truly warm "Chicago" atmosphere. Harry Caray's has won numerous awards including "Best Steakhouse" by the Chicago Tribune's Dining Poll and Best of Citysearch Poll, Wine Spectator's prestigious "Award of Excellence" every year since 1989, and has been ranked continuously in the top 100 highest grossing restaurants in America. The friendly, energetic atmosphere embodies the amiable personality of the restaurant's namesake. The combination of mahogany paneling, white tablecloths and a veritable museum of baseball history creates a warm and casual elegance. Located in the heart of Chicago's River North, Harry Caray's Chicago, designated the "Official Home Plate of the Chicago Cubs," is within walking distance of numerous major hotels and office buildings.
Harry Carry's - WOW !! Great food, great service, we have a new favorite place to eat in the city. They make the most amazing Italian food !! Everything was great !!

Our evening was very enjoyable at Harry Caray's, but we did have a few complaints. The portions were too big unless you order for the whole table. There was pasta that they put on the table, but the bad part was that there was no sides served with the steaks then. The side of asparagus was almost a dollar a stick and so was the fried ravioli. The food was good, and so was the service, however the price was a bit high. I would recommend this for a good atmosphere but special occasion only.
Pros: atmosphere, service, food
Cons: too large portions, expensive, pushy staff

Harry Carays is a great atmoshphere to eat and visit. I have one statement that summarizes my experience and that is 23 oz Porterhouse steak. Can you say delicious?

I have eaten at the finest restaurants in the US, The Stockyard, Ruth Chris's, Mortons, Gibsons, Chez Odette, Le Bec Fin, Scotty's, Wolfgangs, The Chop House, Buckhorn Exchange, et al. The very best steak I ever had was at Harry Carey's. Just Try It!
Pros: Great Food, Friendly Service, Wonderful Sauces
Cons: Crowded, Not Intimate

Head on over to Harry Caray's, you will be very happy with the rich atmosphere. You can eat and drink in the bar, which is a very popular spot with the sports crowd(many T.V.s to watch sports highlights), or in the elegant but casual restaurant. Make sure you order the New York Strip Peppercorn Steak, it is a huge portion of the finest steak I have ever eaten. If you don't want steak, try the Linguine Di Mare a most excellent sea-food lovers delight. Top it off with one of their fine desserts, I suggest the Creme Brule
Pros: Steak!, Beer!, Pasta!
Cons: none

Good food, cool atmosphere. Nothing to really and truly shout about. The bar menu is very limited. I recommend waiting for a table in their dining area. The food is better there and lots more to choose from.

Harry's is terrific. It's always crowded, so head into the bar for a stiff drink and try some of the house-made chips. The bar is done in typical "sports bar" style -- obviously heavy on the Cubs. The restaurant, however, is more upscale/traditional/formal -- in other words, it's not stuffed with giant-screen TVs. Watch out for celebs and baseball players -- especially those in town for Cubs/Sox games. For dinner, get the chicken Vesuvio -- it's prepared here better than almost anywhere in the city (chicken is tender and the potatoes are perfect). Portions are huge.
Pros: Chicken Vesuvio
Cons: Parking it tough
