Basha is a wonderful family owned & operated restaurant. The people are beautiful, friendly and inviting. The food is amazing, aromatic and flavorful. Everything is made while you wait, so if you're in a hurry for lunch, call ahead and dine in. Trust me - it is well worth the wait! I started going to Pita Inn years ago and fell in love with Middle Eastern cuisine, I stumbled upon Basha because Pita Inn's line was way out the door one night several years ago. Being just a couple blocks from each other, I tried my hand and haven't gone to Pita Inn since.

The price is a little higher than at Pita Inn, but you will be STUFFED and have leftovers. They have a daily lunch special that costs around $5, the dinner plates run around $8. My husband's favorite is the combo-kabab which has one of each - chicken, filet mignon and kefta served on a bed of basmati rice with salad and pita. Often, for my family of 6, I get the family meal for three ($25) which has three combo-kabab plates with a HUGE tray of rice and an enormus stack of pita. We usually have at least one serving left over which is surprising because my kids can EAT. No matter what you order, make sure you get a side of sauces, garlic, Basha and hot sauces are phenomenal and bring the meal together.

Beyond this being some of the best food me and my family have ever tasted, the atmosphere is a delight. The owners treat you like family, always greeting you with a smile, you see their children working the register, wives and brothers in the kitchen, little ones in the dining room. It really is a wonderful experience. I've brought many Pita Inn devotees to Basha and converted them. My out of town family want me to have food shipped to them it's that good!
