Avenue Ale House

This Oak Park bar and restaurant is one of my favorite summertime spots for dinner and drinks. They have a huge, brand new outdoor patio which opens when the weather gets nice enough, allowing diners to enjoy warm summer evenings. The biggest draw for me is the variety of foods and beers they offer here. The menu is quite extensive and I have tried a good deal of it, never to be disappointed. They have a variety of salads which are all fresh, tasty and BIG. Their burgers and fries are quite good and their other options (sandwiches, steaks, wraps, pork chops, fish) are also very tasty! The portions are all large, so be prepared to take a doggie bag home. The beers they have on tap and in bottles are fairly extensive or at least better than just the standard bar choices. There is something for everyone here at the Alehouse!
