My friend lives in Chicago and was getting married in Wisconsin. She got her bridesmaid dresses from another local Chicago store. I flew in from Texas on the Wednesday night before the wedding and tried my dress on at like 7:30pm. It was huge even though the sample fit fine from the same designer I tried on in Texas. I called the store the she ordered from but they basically said they were closing and in a half hour and too bad. The whole bridal party was leaving for Wisconsin on Thursday morning and I needed the dress done that night. I found Marrilee Bridal and that they were open until 9:00pm. In desperation I told them my story and begged for help. I was an hour away and couldn't be there until 10 minutes until 9:00 when they closed. Their seamstress was still there and they told me to come in. They were so nice and sympathetic and the lady did the alterations in 20 minutes while I waited!! They were not bothered they had to stay late for me. The dress fit perfectly! I was so happy and thankful that I cried! I don't usually write reviews but this place deserves for it to be known. Best customer service experience ever!

I got my wedding dress here because it was a San Patrick and they don't sell those except one or two places in the suburbs of Chicago. My dress was absolutely perfect, but, I had to call the salon about every other week to make sure they were doing their job. It was kind of annoying since I had a lot of other stuff to do (like my own job!). They don't use computers there, everything is by hand, which made me nervous. They also had a poor filing system and they never remembered who I was. Also, they didn't tell me when my dress came in; I had to call them and they sounded surprised when the found that they did have my dress in the store. That was bad, I was kind of pissed about that. On the upside, I would NEVER go anywhere else to get alterations. They were perfect there. My dress was Alsace lace with beading (very expensive lace) and they had to do quite a bit of altering to make the dress smaller, and you couldn't even tell that it was altered. They were fabulous. They even made me a sash that matched perfectly. My dress was EXACTLY what I wanted. This place is stuck in the past (no computers) and they don't really have good customer service, but if you keep on them, they will give you exactly what you want in your dress for a pretty good price!
