They installed remote starter. Later I realized that my alarm system is deactivated. I asked them to remove it. They refused return and even for removing they requested additional labor charge... Owner is not cooperative and not helpful. I

I'm surprise they are still in business. R.J. ( Owner) is a cower, lier . I went to them for a new Stereo & Bluetooth. Without getting into to much detail went back to tell him what. Poor job & how dissatisfied I was , he went hiding in his office with his "Mom" really his mom.... Employee came to me & apologize I said is not really your fault then he said to me I told Ray this s not the way to o it. & it's not going to work & Ray said just do it! One last thing this guy demands CASH up front.... Becareful he does this so once job is done wether you like it or not his got your money.

Please read other reviews you will see not 1 good one!

Look at all other reviews as well as Better Business Bureau. He has an F.!!! The guy only accepts cash and gives me a discount by "not charging tax" I Had a remote starter installed a few weeks ago. I get my car back with the alarm disabled and several of the electronic components not working. Talked with Ray the owner/crook. He told me that this is the way these systems operate and sometimes the factory features of the car "go away". What a load of BS. I contacted the manufacturer of the product, who told me that I should not be experiencing any of these problems. I again talked with Ray, who then tried to sell me a more expensive system with an alarm. After additional research on the internet, I took my vehicle to ABC Auto in Elk Grove, an authorized installer, who repaired all the shoddy work in about 2 hours. Cost me an additional $100.00. BOTTOM LINE ...STAY AWAY. You will regret any dealings with this place. My next step is a complaint to the BBB

*****WARNING******* PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE

On October 28th I purchased ??up front? two parts to have my Sirus Satellite receiver installed in my car. The individual that I made the purchase from at Redline Automotive Electronics is named Ray, and ended up being the owner of the business. That same day I set up an appointment with Ray to have the installation completed on my car. When I left Redline that afternoon, I told Ray that I would come back for the installation after picking me son up from daycare. Unfortunately, I was not able to return that night because my 7 month old son ended up getting sick and we had to take him to the hospital. Between 10/28 and 11/1/2011 Ray left several nasty messages on my voicemail such as, I can??t believe you??re doing this to me, I thought we had an agreement, I should have known better, and I??m going to return your merchandise since you have not called me back yet. Mind you, I made the payment upfront and in cash for a product I have yet to receive. Today, I stopped by Redline Automotive and asked to speak to Ray. First his employee asked me if there was something that he could help me with. I explained that I needed a refund and wanted to speak with Ray. The employee went into the back and came back stating that Ray ??the owner? was to busy and could not come out. I then very nicely explained my situation and again requested to speak with Ray. Ray finally comes out screaming where have I been and to look at the sign; no refunds. I again explained that the reason I did not call him back was because my son was hospitalized, and wanted the refund because of the poor customer service that I have received. After re-explaining the situation again regarding my son being in the hospital Ray stated, ??that??s great, but you should have called me.?

I then called the police. While I waited, the owner Ray gets in his car and takes off as I??m speaking to 911. While I was waiting for the police, the employee that was in the store apologized and even stated that he??s not sure why Ray acts that way towards his customers. To no surprise the officer that showed up, explained that this is a common occurrence at Redline Automotive and that they??ve received several complaints from customers. The police officer was very professional and attempted to mitigate the situation by speaking to Ray. Unfortunately, after he spoke with Ray the only thing that Ray agreed to do was to do the installation. I explained to the officer that I would never get anything installed from Ray or Redline Automotive even if it was for free.

My next step is to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, Angies List, and file a civil suit with Ray and Redline Automotive.

I guess that explains why Ray and Redline Automotive Electronics only take cash, and not credit cards where the consumer is protected and can dispute charges.

1/11 - AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAQUE!!! They are horrible!! Brought my car in working fine to install a remote start. The next day my car was completely dead. Brought it back they said I needed a new battery and they would not work on it until I get one and would NOT give us a refund. Would NOT even consider that they installed it incorrectly, which has been a problem with other incorrect installations with remote starts. The owner is an ASS. He started yelling at us and walked away and REFUSED to work on the vehicle until we get a new battery and cables.

Ray's a guy who shouldn't be in any kind of business. He overcharged me, made me wait months for a simple fix then was rude about it. He only started to respond when I brought the Mercedes dealer who referred me to him into the mess. And even then I had to call him every day and harass him to get him to complete the service he had me pay upfront for. Then he had the gall to ask for more money to "reinstall" the unit. I told him I wouldn't let him hold my pen let alone be near my car. I "installed the plug and play unit in less than 60 seconds. He's an idiot sheister.

Ripoff with a smile.
They said they were one of only two companies that could install a remote start for a Jetta, so it would cost $400 + tax. Sounds like a lot but "ABC' in Elk Grove said $375. s0 redline is closer and I [like a dummy] take it to redline. What they didn't bother to say is that this
what they were going to install did remote start the car but it also disabled the VW key electronics, so you have to use the new quarter sized emote to turn off the car before getting in and restarting the cap wiyh the key. Tey another $250 + tax to make it work like it should.

This guys is an incompetent, unintelligent buffoon who does not understand car installs. If you are looking for anything installed on your car, DO NOT GO TO REDLINE! If you want your car destroyed, bring it to this unbelievably overpriced ripoff operation. Enjoy getting everything broken in exchange for being ripped off.

Do not go here if you have a choice. The owner is cocky, rude and abrasive. The price is not so great either. The owner is held accountable to no one for his actions. If I had to do it all over again I would go to Ziebart or any other franchise chain where shops are held accountable by a corporation
