Upon arrival to Tsuki, guests traverse a shimmering brushed-aluminum, river-like path to the main dining room. The striking 28 foot frosted glass sushi bar, with a deep blue mosaic back splash, is lit from beneath to produce an effervescent glow. A separate lounge features signature martinis and sakes, a select menu for late night snacking, happy hour sushi Monday through Friday 5pm to 7pm, $5 Martini's on Thursdays, a massive double brick fireplace, and a spacious granite topped bar, behind which flows a dramatic 10 foot high waterfall. Executive Chef Toyoji Hemmi's "share style" menu of smaller tasting portions showcases a large array of sensuous, delicately prepared Japanese dishes. Tsuki also features more than 40 distinctive Nigiri as well as classic Japanese favorites.

Editorial Description by Citysearch
The Scene
Pumping club tunes provide a high-energy soundtrack at this lively, spacious restaurant, where white-clad chefs work busily behind a frosted-glass sushi bar and shout greetings to everyone who walks in the door. Young couples settle in at silk-covered cobalt-blue booths with bronze tabletops, noshing under the watchful eye of attentive, friendly servers. In the adjacent lounge, a 10-foot-high waterfall flows behind a spacious, black granite-topped bar.

The Food
Along with standards like seaweed salad and tempura, the menu boasts an array of creative small plates, from cold marinated fried red snapper and zucchini to hot stuff like Japanese sweet potato fries and steamed cod and shrimp cake with yuzu sauce. The most exciting sushi options are on the signature menu. Here you'll find intriguing bites like crunchy, spicy tuna roll with with marinated octopus, sea urchin and squid nigiri, and smoked salmon maki topped with spicy scallop, then torched to a golden brown.

Mediocre at best 2 Star Rating - Wouldn't recommend

By eddiesmiles

Went with a small group of friends on a Sunday night for a casual dinner. The prices were reasonable for what I would have expected of a high-end Japanese restaurant, but the sushi quality and quantity was not what I expected. We were all pretty disappointed with the food, but the service, decor, and ambiance was fine. It wasn't terrible, but I definitely wouldn't go back.

Poor customer service 1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

By kedurham

Had a reservation but waited over 1.5 hours for a table. Staff didn't do anything to assist us (free appetizer in the lounge maybe). Waiter was hard to track down all night. Got the wrong check when I closed my tab in the lounge.

Pros: location
Cons: service, price

Love It! 3 Star Rating - Satisfactory

By jgustaf18

My boyfriend is a big sushi fan and took me here for Valentine's Day. I had never really had it before and had many questions. The waitress was great! So helpful, and her suggestions on what to order were all really yummy. She was attentive and really knew what she was talking about-so helpful. She also have us a cute little box of strawberry/chocolate candies for V-Day. Definitely got a big tip-great food, great staff.

Pros: Food delicious, staff helpful
Cons: Street parking hard to come by
