Anti-Cruelty Society

I needed to put my cats up for adoption because my daughter was allergic and I brought them to The Anti-Cruelty Society.It was very sad for us but we were assured they would find good homes.The people were very helpful and friendly and it eased the process for us.They also offer spaying/neutering your pets for a fraction of what the vet charges.

I've adopted 2 dogs from there and couldn't have been happier. Staff is pleasant and animals seem to be well taken care of. One night a cat walked into our house and hid under our bed. Turned out she was pregnant, so when it came time to have her and the kitten fixed,we took them there. The vets did a good job and prices were reasonable. We get a lot of free dog food so we donate it to anti-cruelty.

It's so hard to walk past this place and not want to buy every dog in there! They are famous in Chicago because they give a 2nd chance to unwanted animals. They are first class all the way. So many dogs and cats were given good homes because of these people. The pets are given shots and they will spay or neuter them before you bring them home. They have a family "get to know one another" area before you choose your special pet.

I helped my friend adopt a pet from here, and we both felt good about saving an animal. The staff here were helpful and didn't lay any guilt trips on us to pressure us into adopting. The premises were pretty clean considering what they are dealing with.
