Piazza Bella, in Chicago's Roscoe Village, offers truly authentic regional Italian cuisine to satisfy all taste buds and professional service. Once you step inside Piazza Bella, you can taste, smell and experience the true essence of Italy. We have been serving our authentic Italian cuisine for over nine years and expanded our Italian restaurant in Chicago's Roscoe Village into two locations next door to one another. We now have a full service bar (Osteria) where you can enjoy the same delicious Italian food in a more casual setting. We have several high-top tables with leather booths and many traditional sit-down tables as well. From our fresco dining near the new patio lounge to daily food & drink specials 7 days a week, Piazza Bella is the premier Italian restaurant of Chicago's Roscoe Village area. Join us for a Candlelight dinner every 2nd Thursday of the month.

disgusted

Our expectations were high after reading other reviews and selecting from the menu (which described dishes in accurate Italian). After 90 minutes of waiting we received a poorly chopped store- bought- dressing salad, soggy pizza with canned toppings and underseasoned overcooked inedible pasta. Disgusting.

Top-rated Italian in the Village

by Devon R. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 1,080

Gourmet Magazine rated Piazza Bella one of the best neighborhood restaurants in Chicago, and it shows. Their Italian food is light and delicous and full of flavor. The atmosphere of the restaurant is a huge plus, especially in the summer when they open the front windows. Don't be put off by the long lines-- the food is definitely worth the wait, especially the specials and desserts. Their wine selection is above average, as is the service. Treat yourself to a special evening at Piazza Bella.

Average Italian food

by Steve M. | insider Insider | Rank: 14,182

Have had take out and went in to dine 1 time. Food is average. The inside is a bit cramped for space. Seems to be popular but location helps a lot. Had the chicken parm and was not impressed. Would go to Via Carducci on fullertion or Anna Maria pasteria on Montrose.

Good Italian food in Roscoe Village

by Joan J. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 1,989

So far I've only had one lunch here but it was very, very good. The ingredients were very fresh - with high quality prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, and flavorful tomatoes which are often hard to find. We took advantage of the outdoor seating, and the service was excellent. If you're in the neighborhood, Piazza Bella is definitely worth a try.

Great neighborhood spot

by CSMobileUser

My family and I have been coming here for years. Food is always good - standard Italian, nothing fancy - and the owners are lovely.
