first time reviewing; wish it was a rave. regarding my pie / lil guys: always liked the food -- the sandwiches -- unbelievable ultimate reuben on the weekends -- smoothies, and the pizza: crisp and tasty thin crust, buttery and not too rich deep dish. just called and ordered a pizza. very rude phone person -- and this wasn't the first time. so rude this time, i called back and canceled. i spend a few hundred bucks a year at my pie / lil guys, but this "bucktown service," as a friend of mine calls it... i'm just sick of it. see, lou malnati's is in bucktown now, too. and my pie's deep dish pizza is a lot like lou's -- almost identical crust and sauce. and they don't give you "bucktown service." called them and they weren't open yet. then i remembered pequod's delivers to bucktown, too. so i ordered from there. there is an embarrassment of wealth regarding good pizza in this area. unless you have a jones for a truly unique delight, like john's thin crust on western (for which one must pay cash) you do not have to put up with the "bucktown service" at my pie. my pie / lil guys is not indispensable, and we are in a recession. get your sandwiches from bari. i don't need you to love me, but blatant disdain when i'm saying please and thank you and i'm just trying to order a pizza? what's your problem?

Pros: good food

Cons: $$$ and "bucktown service" -- like alliance bakery

Li'l Guys is a quick & easy place to get delicious sandwiches, soups, salads and sides such as pasta salad, potato salad, & roasted veggies, homemade from scratch. The sandwiches and salads are made to order, and the soup and sides are made fresh daily. You can also get a fantastic smoothie or shake, made from real fruit and fruit juice.

Li'l guys sandwiches are finger sandwiches - you can get a 2 Pack with 2 small sandwiches, a side, pickle, and soda for about $7. You can also get a Grand Daddy Sandwich, which slightly larger than your average sandwich. Make it a Daddy Pack to get the sandwich with a side, pickle, and soda.

There is a pizza restaurant within Li'l Guys, called My Pie Pizza, which sell by the slice as well as by the pie.

Not much seating, but a friendly atmosphere.
